Brotherhood Champion vs Kharn

The spell does target the enemy character

No, it doesn't.

BO, you're wrong and calling someone else, who is actually putting a logical arguement to the discussion, as opposed to pure personal opinion (difference between HS and Dark Exo) a troll, is just childish and unbecoming.

Pg. 26: "If the psychic test is successful, the Brotherhood Champion makes a single attack against one enemy model..."

Ok, by the way I read this, the psychic power targets the champion to allow him to make an ATTACK against Kharne, so I would say no, he does not get a deny the witch roll.

How is it not targeting Khârn? The BC makes an attack versus Khârn if he successfully passes the psychic test which augments the attack. I understand the confusion but it's just that.

G :HQ:

Your looking to far down the road of the test. Your looking at it as "you pass a test which causes an attack that you direct to a model means the test is on the model."

Basically Khârn gets a 2+ deny the witch roll.

So I guess the real question is, do you get a deny the witch roll against Heroic Sacrifice?

As long as the weapon that champ is carrying isnt a force weapon that tries to insta kill him, than it still works.

My opinion would be that Khârn would not get the Deny roll. If you look at the wording of Heroic Sacrifice and Force Weapons, it is the same.

The rules specifically say no Deny the Witch roll for Force Weapons, but Deny the Witch did not exist at the time Heroic Sacrifice was written.

So it is like targeting him but not at the same time ?

So other then Trolling, The attack is like the Blood Angel Blood Talon, its a trigger that starts another attack, like a unsaved wound from a Blood Talon. HS triggers an attack, and that attack i guess is breaking your heart.

The general consensus is (and I agree) that the psychic power targets the Brotherhood Champion. If successful the power grants him the ability to make a bonus awesome attack out of sequence. Once he gets the ability to make this attack the psychic power is done. The attack is made at his opponent, and is not psychic in nature. Therefore if he just targets with his special attack, and has NOT chosen to make his Nemesis Force Weapon act like a force weapon (it is just a normal power weapon for that phase as he's using his psychic power to do his in death attack), it does not give a 2++ invulnerable save.

Can we please stop talking around in circles now? Remember, polite constructive discussion.

I think this is an already answered doubt, somehow being kept alive by a troll.

I think that it is cristal clear the you cast a psychic power ON the champion to give him the chance to remove a character from play THROUGH this ability, no longer caring about where did it came from.

I really dont see any other need to keep clarifying or justifying something that is pretty clear, something where no rules colide at all.

This other guy, Black Orange, is just trolling.
