Trenchers

Thought I share my work for some constructive criticism. Hope it gives you some ideas.

My army is mainly inspired by Warzone's Imperial Trenchers. I wanted my basic troopers to look 1st WW style with trenchcoats and gas masks. For Veterans I decided to go modern, more like comandoes with cammo cloaks and shotguns for close quaters. Army is Chimera mounted with Vendetta and artilery support. I'm still looking for a good colour scheme based on red and brown.

I think they look good. I'm not completely certain, though - in the future, when taking photographs, I'd suggest trying to take them against a white background while using a spot light. A desk lamp is good, and it's easy enough to just hold a sheet of paper behind the models. Especially when you're using dark plastic.

Dark backround and shorter exposure time allows you to see resin elements with some clarity.

I will post them again once painted, which will be a while.

Any ideas for red colour scheme?

Point taken.

Red colour schemes?

Hard to say without being able to see the cut of their uniforms, but perhaps red on the large areas, with black raised edges and yellow recessed areas? Black or red caps.

Except for GW parts I've sculpted all the bits myself from scratch. Casting is just a necessity for a large army like that.

As for beret heads, if you don't need too many of them, why not try to make them yourself? You could use helmetless heads and gas masks from comand squad. This would limit the amount of sculpting to berets only, which aren't very hard to do.
