"So will I deal with all Tyrants and Deceivers..."

I was looking through Betrayal the other day and to my disappointment (sort of), there are no "vanguard-esque" Legio Marines. As a replacement for such, I decided to model Legion Destroyers as Catulan Reaver Assault Squad. And for the Captain of Reavers, I believed no mere Sergeant would do, so I decided a Moritat would be a sufficient character for Kalus EKaddon.

Legion Centurion ( Kalus Ekaddon)
Consel Upgrade: Moritat
Jump Pack
Volkite Serpenta
Power Weapon

As the squad around him, Destroyers seem as the perfect fit.

Legion Destroyer Squad (Catulan Reavers)
4 Destroyer Space Marines
Volkite Serpenta
Phosphex bombs (3)

Let me know what you guys think.

You have to think that Codex vanguard squads are general full of Marines with more than 2 or 3 centuries of experience. From what I've read between the books and FW Betrayal the Legions had little respect for the Terran Marines which made up the bulk of the troops that could claim that kind of experience in their ranks.

That is actually rather iffy. It would be more appropriate to say that reactions are mixed from just who in the Legion is looking at them.

1.) Khârn(World Eaters)

2.) Ahriman(Thousand Sons)

3.) Garro(Death Guard)

4.) Erebus(Word Bearers)

5.) Iacton Qruze(Luna Wolves)

6.) Zso Sahaal(Night Lords)

7.) Var Jahan(Night Lords)

8.) Krukesh(Night Lords)

For example, we see immense respect(or fondness in some situations) for Khârn, Arhiman, Qruze(back when his Legion was still the Luna Wolves), Var Jahan and Krukesh, while we have mixed reactions with Erebus and most of the remaining Death Guard pretty much hate Garro although he was well liked by his own Company pre-Istvaan III.

Although on the note of Catulan Reaver Squad, it was a group of Assault Marines that were attached to the First Company so a type of "veteran" status would almost have to be attached to them as only the "elite of the elite" were allowed to have jump packs in the Crusade- and Heresy-eras.

For reference, the last two Night Lords are from Prince of Crows. Just putting that out there as I know they aren't exactly the most famous of characters.

According to Betrayal, the Catulan Reavers are now a full company, specialising in harrowing actions and hit and run actions. I'm planning on basing my heresy army on the Reavers, using a Pride of the Legion praetor attached to a jump pack Command squad with the core of the army made up of Legion Veterans and destroyer squads.

I was going to do them a pure Angels Wrath force giving my jump infantry hit and run, but pic on page 74 shows and ordinary non jump pack marine so I don't think they are exclusively a assault squad force any more.
