I thought the winged skull was a loyalist symbol? I know you said he was a loyalist, but the loyalists amongst the traitor legions would not have had this.

The surviving loyalists who made it back to the Imperium would have removed their old legion symbols so again there'd be no overlap of winged skull and traitor legion symbols. Anyone disagree?

Excellent model by the way.

Some updates re the legs and pauldrons etc, some scroll work to do on the left
leg and the right pauldron's a bit blank so any suggestions re decoration would
be appreciated i think its a bit bland with just the legion numerals, the belt
buckle still has to have the loin cloth added will do that once the legs are
permanently attached and then i can start into the arms and back
pack.

Some updates im a little behind as i had to re do the arms, i was just unhappy
with the cables hanging around the elbow joint it just didnt look right so they
are gone might do cables in the shoulders still. I have done some basic rough
stough on the back pack and started on the
bolter.

I have been busy rough tacking the power pack as it needs to be on the marines
back to get the balance of the pose right (he is now officially free standing)
the pose is slightly different to the original as the position of the feet on
the original are "on edge" i think its close enough
:)

The Umbra pattern bolters also have a lot of technical gubbins up the butt end too.

I'm ashamed to say this made me giggle. I am a child tongue.png

I wouldn't do a bayonet. Maybe a knife in a reverse-grip in his free and, though.

Did a little work on the bolter detailing, decreased the ammount of barrel thats
visible in the main body of the weapon. I added the eyes to the helmet and
tidied up the visor. Had "one of those days" with the right arm a real battle
trying to get it in place without too much of the innards showing, hat tip to my shrink the anger management techniques do on occasion work.
so heres a couple o
pics

Im
thinking i might have to fill in the visor vents a little as they look too wide
at the moment.
