The Hammers Of Blood Space Marines
Chapter

spacemarine.jpg
Origins

The Hammers of Blood space marine chapter were
founded in the later years of m.37 also known as the sentinel founding. They
were created to respond to increasing raids to the worlds of the imperium from
alien and traitor alike, and to act as a bolster to Guard battalions in the
region. From their inception the Hammers had many conflicts with the Alpha
Legion, and as a result have lost much of their data as regards their
primogenitor chapter, including knowledge of their primarch and original training
cadre.

Homeworld

The planet known as Pompeitius is located in the
segmentum obscurus, to the galatic north of the Eye of Terror. It is a
civilized world, with a heavy military presence. Their homeworld also boasts a
large number of adpetus mechanicus archeoligists, who have gone to uncover many
imperial relics, including a large cahce of blood angels materials from the
heresy era on Pompeitius itself.

Combat Doctrine

Using the codex as a set of guidelines, the hammers
maintain a fluid method of war. Their main deviation from the codex, however,
lies in their use of teleporters in both attack and defence. Used to catch the
enemy off guard, when either taking the offensive or defensive, elements of the
first company teleport into the heart of the enemy. This assault usually takes
form of thunder hammer armed terminators of the 1st company, to
smash asunder all in their paths. From this confusion it allows their other
brothers to seize the moment, and turn the tides of battle.

Organization/Organisation

The Hammers of Blood follow standard codex
organisation

Beliefs

The chapter do not revere the Emperor as a God,
just as one of the greatest men to have ever lived, and strive to follow his
example. They also give their praise to the memories of Primarchs
Sanguinius, due to the high number of Blood Angel relics found upon their homeworld.

Gene-seed/Geneseed

Currently unknown, at one stage the Blood angels
were speculated, but only due to the large number of artifacts on their
homeworld.

They're definitely a chapter. Not much here to separate them from the herd, though.

One option (assuming you're not completely OK with that) would be to write up something akin to the little blurbs in C:SM about various DIY chapters. I find it focuses the mind wonderfully.

Ill admit this is my first proper crack of the whip, and it is an incredibly basic work.. My inspiration took a battering after the original wip article didnt get a great reception, so I figured if I make a sttart it can grow. And I dont know how to do side boxes..

"From their inception the Hammers had many conflicts with the Alpha Legion, and as a result have lost much of their data as regards their primogenitor chapter, including knowledge of their primarch and original training cadre."

- So? The AL have broken into Chapter's librarium, deleted/corrupted/stolen all the data stored here and then proceeded to brainwash every and all marines to forget the stuff, which is basically a foundation of every Chapter? That's truly... intricate situation.dry.png

A vote for the change it pile :p as I heard naught to it in response ive been at a loss in where to tread... I had another basic idea, of a chapter of tech exorcists, reclaiming and cleansing, and exorcising chaos tainted wargear/vehicles.. And I could atttribute the massive loss of memory/data to an exorcism gone horrifically wrong. If its better than the other choice I can run with it or seek another path

Of course, and I felt it was. Being of the sentinel founding I wanted a sense of irony, that although they stand sentinel for humanity, they couldnt stand sentinel for themselves. A tragedy of sorts.

(If I cause offense or seem to be off point, please feel free to ask me to explain further, I mean no misdemeanor. )

Hmm, but wouldn't that be a cause of great disturbance in itself? Who wants incompetent guards?

Lol just lol.
