Back to my 40k Roots - Bongfu's Inquisition

Recommended Posts

About ten years ago when I started this hobby, I picked up the Witchhunters Codex and started an Inquisition army. From there it grew into a Daemonhunters army as I wanted to play all sides of the Inquisition. Even had a Deathwatch force back then.

Alas, Grey Knights killed my army that I had worked on for years.

Packed away and almost forgotten with my multitude of other project armies, I recently happened upon my old codeci. It peaked my interest enough that I wanted to revive my army for 6th ed and using the new allies rules I could bring back the flavor I loved from the old Inquisition I grew up with.

Without further adieu, I present to you...

Thanks mate. I agree, it's what attracted me to the hobby to begin with. Inquisition can represent something entirely different in play style and over all looks that hardly anyone else has. I know a billion Grey Knight players and absolutely zero Inquisition players.

When I first left the hobby quite a few years ago, it was while i was beginning an Inquisitoial force in the works and when I came back this year, i was planning to pick up where i left off but was devestated to find that the Inquisitorial codexes were gone down.gif

Maybe I'll pick those models back up again just for the fun of painting and modelling them sweat.gif

They are for sure fun to model and paint. This is by no means going to be a very competitive force, but it will be fun to play and show off. I am not a very competitive player anyway. Plus, I am running a campaign in a month which will debut my Inquisition as my army pirate.gif

That mysterious Ordo gets a name!

Got my tax return in today, so I will be ordering a few more bits and pieces to really get rocking on my Inquisition forces. Look for some major updates this weekend. Maybe even a Deathwatch Stormraven ph34r.png

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++Ordo Datafile: Ordo Idagator+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Founding: 399.M36

Fortress World: Thrantoss

Ordo Proctor: Lord Adrian Utrecht

Notable History:

As Imperial ships began to venture further out towards the galactic edge, few dared to tread beyond the light of the Astronomicon. The Halo Zone, as it became known, was wild space, virtually unexplored, untapped, and untamed. What secrets or, more importantly, threats did the Halo Zone hold for the Imperium to discover? This was the question that led to the founding of the Ordo Minoris Idagator. Their mission was to the exploration and evaluation of the Halo Stars, as well as elimination of any threats discovered beyond.

Since its inception, the Ordo Idagator has probed all along the galactic rim. They were the first to discover the Cythor Fiends inhabiting the Ghoul Stars, amongst its other horrors. They have cataloged thousands of new species that were previously unknown to Imperial scholars. As well as destroyed entire civilizations that threatened the dominance of man.

The Ordo's main military army is requisitioned Imperial Guard, Naval, and Stormtrooper assets. However, many Inquisitors maintain close ties with Astartes Chapters near their areas of operation. Certain Inquisitors have even received the help of the Deathwatch on occasion. This is done through careful application of tact and the fact that both parties do wish one thing above all else, death to Xenos. However, it remains fact that the Ordo does not maintain a Chamber Militant, therefore each Inquisitor is left to his own devices when dealing with whatever threats cross his path.

Already looking good.  I'll be watching this for more inspiration for my fallen inquisitor/Nurgle army.  I'm bogged down on ideas atm and looking at your stormtroopers and kill team leader is very inspiring and I'm back to sketching ideas again :).
