Everything looks great except the faces.  I am not sure if it is your camera, but they are all coming out very pale looking.  Are you using a wash on them or are you going for a pale skinned vampire look?  Hahaha!

heheh im going for the pale skin really. but since i have the whole skala of skin paints ill drop in a few less pale at random :P

for some reason painting went pretty quick tonight and finally finished my first rune priest.
time for a few pics:

I'm sort of torn. Bro Ramses has a good point about the faces, they're pretty pale. If you look at cultures in our world who inhabit a predominantly arctic envirionment (ie, the russo/mongolian or inuit peoples) they all tend to have a darker asiatic skintone.

On the other hand, I really like the paleness against the darker pre-heresyesque gray of your armor. It really draws the attention to the awesome work you've done with some of the facial expressions.

so was i at first. and having tried the tanned flesh triad from reaper i still thought the faces looked to dark in comparison with the Armour.so i decided to give them a cross-over triad with fair skin and it made it look better.

im still searching for the right skin tone really.....

Hey all

Just finished my second rune priest a few seconds ago and really wanted to share it with you.

I really loved painting this guys face ... it has some real madness to it which i really like in a rune priest (read: ranting shaman)

This model is kinda special to me since i really wanted to start with the face. usually one of the things i paint last. but revered the whole shabang just to see how it works.

The power weapon..... im not tho happy about it, but im not to keen on repainting it either.... so for now i let time decide its faith.

of to the pics then:

let me know what you think of it

Yesterday evening i started on my new project which is the drop pod for my 5 wolf guard -and rune priest-

after checking out a lot of scheme's of the pod i finally went for the classical look that means i will be painting a lot of yellow but lucky for me i got an airbrush so ill just spray the yellow.

I found a really nice tutorial from buypainted.com which ill be using as a loose guide to help me trough the progress of painting.

work done so far:

Ill be using my airbrush alot since it speeds up painting the pod lot and since i need to paint 9 of these!

update time:

its been a rather busy week so i didnt have to much time to paint. but finally i had some time yesterday to get some work done on the drop pod. i finally finished the struts and got around chipping the paint here are some pics i took. As you can see its almost done, i only need to weather the yellow parts a bit.

Droppod is finally done! i decided not to weather the yellow parts.
after giving it a go which looked a bit too weathered and just out right
horrible. So i had to repaint all the yellow parts  god bless masking
tape and some patience!

Excellent work brother! Russ would be proud! One question, what color did you use for the Drop Pods interior? I like it.

Thanks!!!

I used commando khaki for it the highlighted just a bit with 50/50 bleached bone commando khaki all of it was airbrushed

and the wolfguard is done :

Great stuff overall! I am stealing your combiplasma conversion. Looks sweet on the wolf-detailed bolter.

I agree with the pale skin comments and see your pov on it. I think its because they look very flat. There's no depth to them. I would still wash them with a thin diluted mix of flesh tone to help make the cheekbones pop and recede the eye sockets a little. Shouldn't affect the paleness too much - close to what you have going with your WG.
