Noble Night Lords?

To be fair, that is according to Dorn's notion of "nobility." It was like that discussion about "honor" forever and a half ago in a thread about Angron. Angron thought it was more honorable to die by a blade, a warrior's death. But many people thought he had no honor simply because he killed a good portion of his Legion just because their first loyalty wasn't to him. It's the same with "nobility."

I think I've got my answer, in that it is possible if not probable, and I intend to march on with this project. On that, I could really use some thoughts on possible aesthetic. I started a thread  in the PCA questions group but it hasn't been super fruitful, so I'll kick it around in this group. 

 

So, if there WERE some Night Lords who were possibly veterans from Terra or other planets and were fighting in the early stages of the Great Crusade BEFORE the discovery of Kurze on Nostramo or perhaps VERY SOON AFTER (like, after a long weekend or holiday) and still without the influx of criminals into the Legion, what would they look like?

 

My thoughts for a squad with jump packs (I'm not sure if they'd be rules-wise yet) were basically Sanguinary Guard with bat wings and different helmets (I'm a fan of Gustav Dore's engravings for Paradise Lost, which are some of the inspiration for this). I got a suggestion to perhaps ditch the angelic look for something more traditional for the Eighth, namely Raptor parts and Chaos-y trim. I'm also going to make some jet bikes (building some right now) and I'm wondering for neat things to do with them as well.
