Today I spend hours attacking my paintwork with a stippling brush after my chipping medium turned out to requite a lot more work than I expected:

I don't know if my chipping fluid application was too light or I put too many layers over the top, or indeed something else I didn't take into account.

I think the rear of the Battlewagon looks pretty good but there are parts where the worn patches don't look very natural, such as on the turret. I may have to sponge some wear and tear onto the model later down the line. I've got the metallic sections to do once I've sealed the current paintjob.

Today I recieved my Forge World order.

I figured I should buy the Mega Dread I've been putting of for years since Forge World have been cutting a lot of their stock recently and I expect the Ork stuff would be on the chopping block sooner than the space marine stuff. I'm also very excited about the Secutarii, they might well push my Battlewagons down the priority order.
This week in the hobby I've shed tears of sadness for failing to make it to my FLHS in time to pick up the models I need for my army, but I'm almost done building myy first ten daemonettes and revamping my list to be a bit more useful (namely by taking two Fiends instead of a chariot for the sole purpose of making sure anything I make it into cmbat with stays there until it or I am dead). Today in the hobby:

I've assembled my Deathwatch squad for Kill Team. They will be painted as Street Judges from the 2000 AD comic. It will be a couple weeks before the helmets arrive from PuppetsWar. I don't know if the Executioners heads or the Chevaliers heads will look better so I ordered both. I wanted to use the tilting plates on the others, but the position of the arms made i unfeasible.

Pictured below: Reinhold (Zealot), Giant (grenadier), Nelson (Leader), Hirsch (Demo), and Burns (Heavy).

The first batch of bases have arrived. I feel like I should be able to have them painted in the next week or so.

I am a little excited to be making progress. I need to double check my paints to make sure I'm not missing any of the ones I need for the basing.

Today in the hobby, I got some work done on my terminator praetor. I am super happy with how the face turned out... now I just need to not go insane painting all the trim on this guy! :tongue.:

TITHI Finished off one of the buildings (one of the old cities of death ad mech ones) for the demonstration game I'll be doing in a month or two, almost finished the ruins and shipping containers from warhammer conquest only a few details left to do on the three but in order to break the monotony of doing terrain i did some work on ten tartaros pattern termies for my heresy smurfs.

Also experimented with a new slime method for my death guard involving ulthuan grey, thraka green, coelia green shade, athonian camoshade and nurgles rot, think it came out ok but I'm waiting for day light to really see how it looks:wink:

I discovered them a couple years ago while looking for cool resin bases. They do some neat stuff, but it ain't cheap (some of the bigger ones go for $20 USD each).

TITH I got the paints I needed to paint my Daemonettes, and I'll be picking up an Infernal Enchantress this week as well. Saturday is going to be a bit of a shopping spree for the army thanks to ladt week's overtime.
