Magos Takatus
4 hours ago, grailkeeper said: Today in the Hobby I tried to use an unlock code that Warhammer+ sent out for blood bowl 3. Unfortunately someone had used it before me... but then a friend IRL sent me his code! Time to paint some luna wolves between scoring TDs I'm not sure if they have a "last night in the hobby" but if it counts then the answer includes spending way too long looking at Eldar runes. I just spent about 15 minutes trying to find where to enter the code. As usual, Google's AI suggestion was wrong so I eventually found out the location to enter the code is buried in the game options at the bottom of the page. Since it was for unlocking teams I was looking in the store page and the battle pass for it. What a rigmarole. Yeah, there were people online giving away the code so I was competeing against the internet to grab those free codes. Going through that rigamarole was impossible. Luckily a friend had them to share too. But man even google couldnt tell me how to enter them Magos Takatus 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/446/#findComment-6104336 Share on other sites
lhg033
Last night in the hobby I finished building my birthday Hormagants. Pretty quick for me - 2 and a bit weeks. In theory, my plans next are: Painting/already primed and ready to go: Finishing off some termagants x10. (Nearly done just need to get he motivation to finish them) Finishing off my test Deathwing/bladguard models Terminator captain HH Dark Angels x5 Assault intercessors x5 Neurogants x10 VR Leapers x3 Alternating with.... Building some more infantry sized models so I can prime them all together. Finecast Azrael and Brother Bethor/DA standard bearer (a previous birthday present) Da red gobbo squig version Hive storm kill teams Brutal and kunnin kill teams I want to build some bigger models at some point but need to make space to store them in an appropriate box This is by no means exhaustive from my building list, just what I plan to do next Focslain 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/446/#findComment-6104359 Share on other sites
BadJokeAK
TITH.... I saved a bunch of 40K reaction memes I ran across and scoured the house for the Thrain figure I need to put together. All when I should be focusing on finishing painting the back log of primed Custodes on my shelf. Deus_Ex_Machina
I visited the Red Lion Convention in my local area today. This was my haul: https://ibb.co/album/8zXwVg - Old World Guard Tower - Wild West Water Tower - 36 D6 in Steel/Purple colour scheme - April O´Neill (Brother Vinnie, two versions) - Two Repentias (Brother Vinnie) - Sorceress (Brother Vinnie, not shown in pic) - Dungeon Sisters (Brother Vinnie, five models, not shown in pic) - Gamers Grass Dry Steppe set - Acrylic Paint (Panzer Aces, Italian Tank Crew, free gift for attending the event, not shown in pic) I hope the Italian Tank crew paint will stick around longer on my model tanks than the Italians did on the battlefields of WWII. But hey, you simply don´t look a gift horse in the mouth. Ace Debonair
I don't go in for Death Korps as a rule, but I really like the lighter-then-typical blue on the coat and pale helmet there. Very, very nice. Evil Eye
TITH I finally put brush to model again for the first time in months, and started working on some Striking Scorpions. Also served as an opportunity to test Colour Forge's white primer (it's great) and Army Painter's Fanatic paints (also great). Shame I can't take good photos to save my life... Magos Takatus
Hi! TiTHI finished my Maugan Ra. For some reason my camera wants to mess with my images all the time so it looks oddly auto-sharpened but I'll have to make do with what it's provided me until I can learn how to disable it. Let me know what you think. I might see if I can squeeze some better quality pictures out of this camera somehow, it's really flattened a lot of my shading, particularly the bone areas. sbarnby71, Norman Paperman, Focslain and 3 others 3 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/446/#findComment-6105484 Share on other sites
Focslain
SO TITH, well yesterday, my MTO order finally arrived. Got the Company Command group and the season 1 Heroes collection. I had forgotten I had order these (in Dec) until the email arrived earlier this week. Anyway, now I have to dig thru my backstock and find the 3(4) terminators I got last year during a sale and see if i can make a legal squad or two from the heroes set. Not sure which Chapter I'm doing them or the command group in yet. Moonstalker
TITH I primed all of my boarding action terrain set. Managed to do it with just one rattlecan, though I had to do it in four separate batches. I'll be using some craft paint (Apple Barrel matte "country tan") for the bulk of it, and probably red doors to make them easier to pick out visually. Casual Heresy
Today in the hobby I continued my slow descent into Chaos by buying the first Havocs issue of combat patrol and starting to see if a 'Monster Mash' Emperor's Children force based around Fulgrim and Daemon Princes could be viable. Moonstalker
Kind of a "this week in the hobby" and not a "today in the hobby." I think I've mentioned before in here, big game day planned for the 24th. Hard at work painting my boarding action army for it. I primed them and got the base greys airbrushed in last week. All of monday and most of tuesday evening has been brushwork. Gonna have to get some of those in plastic too I guess… I feel somewhat similar. I bought a resin Castigator Knight and it sat in the cupboard for a few years before building it. I had it built for about a year or so before the plastic version landed. I'm glad it's easier to build now than it used to be for people, but it was a bit late for me. roryokane 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/274679-today-in-the-hobby-i/page/446/#findComment-6111950 Share on other sites

It just needs rhino doors and a cupola pintle weapon thrown on. Hell. Might put Antaro Chronus in the top to allow the Spear of Macragge to ride around in Legendary style. Magos Takatus
Today I proved I have even less hobby focus than ever by reinforcing my Aeldari with three support weapons. I love how the weapons can be push-fit so easily to swap between them. I think I'll chuck an undercoat on these three and then paint them one at a time as I need them. The odd Shadow Weaver will complicate my friend's plans and I'm wondering how he will react to D-cannons appearing in my Guardian squads....
