TItHI came across this vintage grav tank, still on the sprue.

Blimey, that must have set you back a pretty penny! Jokes aside, that should look great.

YITHI printed some tests of some Tallarn scans I modded into traitors with some (very) slight resculpting in Blender. One sadly failed but the other three look delightful! Here they are, with a wash of Darkoath Flesh over the resin just so you can see the details (this resin is amazing but being fleshtone it's hard to photograph when unpainted).

From left to right we have a Pedrus "Half-Baked" O'Reilly (missing a bit of the flesh on his face, he still hasn't found it), Joe "Crusty" Acksen (suffering from Dermatitis Diabolus, should probably see a specialist) and Ricky "Can't See Gak" Hasten (whose atrocious aim has actually improved since the loss of his sight...). Sten "Papercuts" McKee will need reprinting.

TITHI tested out my new FDM printer (a Bambu A1). Printed a random plumbing doohickey (solely for test purposes) in Bambu basic black PLA with the 0.2mm nozzle on a "normal" quality preset. Holy gak this thing is good! Even on the standard setting the layer lines are incredibly fine, and this object had quite a curved shape to it. I'm still gonna be sticking with resin for actual miniatures of course (even with the shockingly good detail of this machine, resin can still do better, plus high-detail FDM is quite slow) but for bases and terrain this will be amazing.

Today, I got on the bus, traveled for 58 minutes, got on a second bus, then traveled for another 26.

Made it to the game store to pick up my Legio Custodes Battle Group box and then realized I'd left my wallet at home. :wallbash:

I’ve started on a terrain project for 11th edition/Call to Arms ‘26: a harbour area (that will also be able to serve a number of other functions, but more on that later).

Unfortunately, my pictures seem to be too large to attach, so I’ll have to get back with those later.

I finally managed to figure out how to compress my pics, so here are  a couple of pics of my inital work/idea:

I'll write up some thoughts etc. about the project in my blog and probably/hopefully continue to take pics as it takes shape. I think I might paint it for CTA this year.

Thanks to Rachel from accounts (if you know you know) a local flgs was going out of business. They did some amazing discounts (upto 80% off!) so I picked up a few Chaos kits and spent today assembling everything;

Warpsmith

Sorcerer

Venomcrawler

Obliterators

Chaos Rhino x2

Forgefiend

Havocs

Lord Discordant on Helstalker

I have two more Havoc Squads, a Master of Posession and a Chaos Lord still to build.

Nice kits, a bit fiddly in parts. I ended up liking them more than I thought. The question now is do I paint them as Iron Warriors or Word Bearers?

I've struggled with that exact same question. I ended up on "Word Bearers supported by Iron Warriors and cultists/traitors", but if you're into the more coherent mono-legion look that might not help you much

Which do you think will be more fun to paint? Also, which legion's lore do you like more? Both are cool in their own ways, but I like Word Bearers a little more for kicking off the Heresy.
