Aqui
almost as good as the classic 'to kill a rainbow warrior' picture I heard that! Ludo: ChaosLord Leon Enaek is referring to this picture in the Rogue Trader rule book of a "Sister" shooting a Rainbow Warrior Marine http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q101/MCP1/SisterSin.jpg It was from a time when SoB didn't exist as we know them now, and there were actual Female Marine miniatures around! The '80's were crazy  Edited May 8, 2013 by Aquilanus Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275100-the-art-of-sisters/page/2/#findComment-3367129 Share on other sites
Rizara
yeah hooded sisters would be awesome. Some possibilites that they could do when they finally do the plastics, give us a variety of open female heads, some hooded female heads, and then helmeted sisters. Sigh, keep dream, thankfully we have lots of motivation. Now if only my new primer would get in so I can actually make some progress on my sisters army. Till then...More motivation images!!!!! *Furyou Miko
^^: There are plenty of pics I like that aren't on there - those are just the best of the ones I've downloaded. lol. I do really like that one. Especially since the chaplet has the correct icon for a change, even if it is in her hand instead of round her waist. *Furyou Miko
I did say it was anime style. Eddie Orlock
I did say it was anime style. You have no-one to blame but yourself. Besides, "Haters gonna burn" is far more Sisterly. Yes, I did forget that 'anime style' was shorthand for 'quick and easy to draw to convey concepts that are best illustraited but not worth the work of more 'realistic techniques''. At least the creator could have cleaned up the sketch marks, smoothed it out, and othewise finished polishing the finished piece. *Furyou Miko
Huh. Actually, that's a pretty damn good description of anime style drawing. You see, cleaning up the artwork in professional anime and manga production is the job of assistants, not artists. You see, cleaning up the artwork in professional anime and manga production is the job of assistants, not artists. This may all be true, but it also means that the style lends itself to 'troll' and 'meme' graphics. If the sole intended utility is to arouse the ire of unknown persons with an opinion not strongly felt by the creator I find it a contemptable act. I view the, for lack of a clearer word, polish of a release piece as indicative of the pride artists has in their work, and thus of their conviction in the opinions held presented and implied in it. Professionals have professional pride of workmanship, so, even if they don't polish themselves, they see to it that it's done. I believe this is a notion supported by the ethos of the B&C as evidenced by the "No chat or "leet" speak" clause in the forum rules. If a thought's worth conveying, it's worth doing articulately. True... after this topic is still free., so no need to ask for a discount... right? ;) Anyway I agree with you: many of the image are nice. I saw this topic the day it was posted but I didn't reply because for an unknown reason most of the times I post comments on this subforum I end up involved in off topic conversions. I didn't want to be one of those leading to the lock down of a very interesting topic ( I really like the digital art, esepcially when it is a good quality) The only thing I want to say is keep up the good work. That's all ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275100-the-art-of-sisters/page/2/#findComment-3368503 Share on other sites

Aqui
I expect more pictures will follow. Not art in a traditional sense, but here's a picture from the "Roses and Boltershells" Face Book page. They're cos-players for the most part, and the picture in question has a photoshopped background, but still the amount of detail in the costume is really high Rose as a Sister Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275100-the-art-of-sisters/page/2/#findComment-3368575 Share on other sites
