shortysl Posted May 7, 2013 Share Posted May 7, 2013 I love the highlighting on the cloak, and the model's well-painted in my own humble opinion, but I admit I've never liked the lightning effect on Power Weapons. It's beautifully done, don't get me wrong, but I prefer a simple blue wash over a metal blade. As an aside, can I have your technique and recipe for the highlight on the cloak? been trying to find a good colour for my Greenwing but everything looks fake when I do it. Too bad the model isn't as dynamic as some of the new chaos marine models or as stoic and powerful the Lysander model. Anyway.. I got a little off topic. You paint very well. I actually straightened it out by running it under hot water and holding it straight till it cooled however it reverted back to the shape I got it in...... Frustrating! When you've got it bent in shape, don't let it air cool, dunk it in cold water - if you air dry it it cools too slowly and reverts. Excellent paint job though!
