some interesting conversions you've got there, I like them and the bases although I am not a fan of what you did with the shoulder pads, it makes them look kind of huge.

Not sure if you are already, but if not, I'd suggest thinning your paints a little, the bone colour looks quite thick, just a drop of water with your paint would be good I'd think

@lokkorex, Thanks i'm hoping that they will come looking ok as well, I just hope they will kill things in games also.

@Blindhamster, Thanks for the C&C, looking at the pads again in the pics I might change the right one a bit. Paint wise i'm thinning with the Lahmian medium on a 1 drop paint to 1 drop medium at the moment, it could be just that I used my    iphone to take the pics instead of my dlsr camera (im hoping).

Personally, I just use clean water to thin my paints down, the Lhamian Medium makes it dry too much for me, I end up with a little chalkier application.

Very good start, but I will agree that the bone does seem a little too thick. Everything looks much better on the completed minis because it looks like you have added some depth with a wash or two. If you are using decals and haven't done so yet, a couple of places look glossy, if you want the matte finish over all, paint it with the Lhamian Medium to achieve it. You might try to tidy up the bone around the studs on your Sergeant, but I really like his custom gear.

I really like the conversion work you have done, so keep it up!

Heres the starting pic of Vow No. 2

5 Sternguard Marines with 3 combi meltas, 1 combi plasma for the sargeant, and 1 normal bolter dude, with the startof a couple of conversions on the armour to give them that mkV studded armour look if it works out (crossed fingers it looks ok).

Time for a small update, I have basically finished with how I would like the marines to look.

Any Suggestions welcome before I undercoat them?
