hi everyone first of id like to say this is my first blog so please bear
with me...

im starting a grey knights army and have made a vow on the etl forum to

paint some minis so i thought id let you all follow on my progress... comments
and critic are welcome to please dont hold your tongues... id also be keen on
knowing some of your tips and methods for improving my minis...

so without futher adue i shall get started:

first off my vow: 1 GM with NFH and psycannon, 4 paladins 1 medic with
NFH, 1 NDH, 1 NFS, 1 NF for a total of 525pts

picks will be posted as soon as i figure out how to...

Looking good tomsev - love the purple weapons, good choice there! If you add black dots in the gun barrels (or better yet if you drill them) it will add trenedously to the final result! Excellent progress so far!

so today i got some work done on my GM thought id post it...

base coats are more or less done as is the silver blue armour id tried to to for him, not sure if i should add more bling or leave him as he is...

give your advice on him pls.

not sure about the colour of the tubing on his arms so pls tell me what youd like to see there...

tomsev

What can I tell you tomsev, looks really good! :) I think a bit lighter shade of gold would work well on it... Looks kind of brownish gold right now... As for the tubing, I'd say a bit more shine and you're done!

the gold looks brown because its only the basecoat, still need pre wash highlights and the final after wash highlights...  scrolls arent done either, and im thinking of doing the tubing on the arms in green like the purity seals or i might bring in some blue...

also wondering what colour should i do the gun casings in?

any thoughts?

Sooo i thought before going to sleep i would post where im at with my GM, hes not quite done yet but hes getting close, still need to the red on his shoulder pads, finish scrolls, tubing etc but the biggest part of him is done.

Here he is:

well there is where im standing now... hope you all like him...

He looks great. I hope to get pics up of mine, had some busy days this week. I like the red on the shoulders as well as the loin cloth. Can't wait to see the finished work. The only thing I would add is either drill out the barrel or put a black dot on the end to look like it's open.

sooo finally got the last touches on my GM done... so here he is:

so that make for vow 1 complete... on to figure out what next for vow 2...

il try and get some better pics up tomorrow...

and im under the impression that the flash has left my model looking rather flat... in real he doesnt look like that...

first off thanks alot...

nope no air brush at all, just chaos black primer, leadbelcher drybrush (think i did this 2 or 3 times), dragonhoff nightshade wash (again 2 - 3 coats to get a nice blue cover over the armour), then highlights with thinned chain mail, and thinned mithril silver easy as that...
