Ratboy1664
Another of my 6th Company Raven Guard. This guy has FW mk 6 chest to show he is a bit more of a veteran than the GW mk 6 guys (more exposed cabling than the new GW version). Also on the bolter he has a scope and a shell on the handle to show he has qualified as a marksman. Also there is a Raven Guard symbol on the backpack as a campaign medal. JeffTibbetts
I like this guy. Now I want to see one that's 100% authentic Mk. 6, with the old-school backpack and no trim on the right pauldron. It will be hard to rep the company color, though.
Ratboy1664
Final guy of my little squad of 4 Raven Guard and a group shot. I think the little details really stand out when there are so few of them. As to a 'pure' mk 6 marine, that would be a revered piece of kit and unlikely to be found outside a battle company in my opinion. JeffTibbetts
They look great all together! I love how the sergeant's white skin is echoed by his white helmet. I never actually realized it, but that's probably exactly why the vets have white helmets, huh? Although other chapters use it as well... Anyway, great stuff! And you're probably right about the Mk. 6 kit. I've modded a couple shoulder pads (and trimmed away the wrist band as well) but I've never gone so far as to get the older backpacks. Ratboy1664
This time a noob assault marine of the 8th company. Again I was trying to reduce the bling so that the vanguard boys look even more heroic. And seeing as the Dutch just robbed Mexico it seems appropriate that I also finished another White Scorpion. JeffTibbetts
Alright. I'll bite. Do those krak grenades look like poke balls on purpose? ;)
Ratboy1664
What is a poke ball? I just chose red and white to be spot colours against all the black
JeffTibbetts
What is a poke ball? I just chose red and white to be spot colours against all the black LOL. I guess that answers the question. It's the ball they use to capture the pokemon with in the game. They're little round balls that are half white and half red.

Ratboy1664
With the release of the Orks codex it looks more likely that the rumours of a new boxed set featuring the Blood Angels are true. So this is my latest attempt to paint a Blood Angel (check out my very 1st post for my 1st). I really want feedback on this guy as I might get the box set if I think I can master this paint scheme, so is the armour too dark/wrong red, how are the highlights, GW Blood Angel shoulder pads or transfers? All help and suggestions greatly appreciated, much love x
Soric
I think the colour scheme you've chosen for your Blood Angels is really nice, not too cartoony and not too dark :) Think I'm too used to seeing the magazines painted the same gunmetal as the bolters, but it does stand out from the norm. Ratboy1664
Long time no see! All of my recent hobby activity has been playing and painting Blood Bowl teams, but I was inspired by Doghouse and Apologist's true scaling efforts to have a crack myself. As usual I kind of followed a tutorial (Doghouse's excellent one) and chopped and changed it as I felt like it. Please be gentle with your C+C as it was my first attempt at a true scale marine, but I need it as I have an idea for another Blood Angels successor marine. Anyway, less waffle more pictures, much love x

Ratboy1664
I re-shot some photos of my Scythes of the Emperor diorama as I wasn't happy with the lighting and thought I would stick one on here. Much love x
Ratboy1664
Just finished a kit-bashed Lord High Executioner for my White Scorpions chapter. In the fight against Hive Fleet Archeron it falls to this marine to grant the Emperor's peace to any of his battle-brothers who have been infected by the tyranids. Olis
I like him. The kitbash gives gravitas - it's like he's weighing his axe in his hands, ready to step up for the swing. Good job. :tu:
