What's with all this talk about Legions that aren't the Bro Bearers (pre-Monarchia) or the Bromanders (pretty much all the time)?

How can the decision not be made already?

Yes the Word Bearers definitely have an appeal!

so, bits are (mostly) gathered for the test minis. I am trying to keep with the HH marks of armour. All I have is some suits of MK V. that'll have to do. what I ahve so far.

1. Ultramarine- scoped bolter, gladius

2. Salamander-Scoped bolter, chain combat accessory.

3. Imperial Fist-missile launcher, bolt pistol

4. Death Guard- Melta gun.

5. Word Bearer-plasma pistol, chainsword

6. Emperors Children-power sword(big)

hopefully some assembly will happen tomorrow!

I actually like the theme of two armies that bring the light of illumination; the fires that bolster, not just burn. I feel the Salamanders would be more accepting of the Word Bearers' ways. They'd be an interesting combo. Then, later you have a true betrayal as the Salamanders are ambushed at Isstvan by their own brothers, Word Bearers among them.

Sallies, all the way.

Poor fellas are so under-represented in the 30k setting, thanks to the massacre at Istvaan. I think that a 30k army of pissed off Sallie survivors would be insanely cool.

You are a strong influence in my hobby, especially since I'm basically following you charge into the 30th millennium!

Sallies............noted.

And I could slaughter some more lizards

oooooooh, it is sooooooo on! istvaan will bath in blood!

this, yeah this.

Yeah. That sounds nice.

I like that quite a bit. My vote goes to Word Bearers (in grey, dammit!) and Salamanders.

oh, there will be grey! lot's of grey!

although this is not an official vote thing of mine, I am relying on intelligent, fluffly, and well, damn cool reasoning!

so far Salamanders and Word Bearers are definitely in the lead. this thread has gone a direction I hadn't thought of. and I like it.

In the end, it will boil down to enjoyment of the painting as I know 30K is an.............investment!

OH MY GAWD! that may have just dethroned purple!

Is that some new slang I'm not aware of. Certainly colourful and I nearly had the same experience myself teehee.gif

Whenever I try and paint 'glow' it just looks like I was sloppy with the paint.

well, after perusing the the HH gallery thread, I noticed a Startling lack of green armour and jet black skin!

Decision made, my Loyalist Legion is the 18th, the Salamanders! now, I just hope they don't get retconned with some BS preheresy color scheme besides green! that Black with yellow blotches was horrble!

I am still undecided with the Traitors so I will be doing the test minis.(I love them all!)

so Fer-shizzle with the Grizzle-dizzle of the 30th millenizzle there is only wizzle my nizzles,

Hey, someone's gotta represent. msn-wink.gif Just call me the recruiter! On second thought, maybe that's why we had to blow up Nostramo.........

And hey, have you ever heard someone who was born and raised and only lived in Ft. Lauderdale, FL? That is a unique accent. I'm actually kind of jealous because I cannot imitate it for nothing.

Dude accents... Really.

I can tell you right now Australians have horrible accents and half the time I don't even know what there saying, luckily for me the Irish genes have prevailed and I can pass as anything other than aussie
