Dammit. I just had an awesome piece of fluff written up and then my over-reactive track pad decided it wanted to go back and erase everything. So now unfortunately you get the short concise version. :cuss.

 

Name: Heinrich Volstag

 

Chapter: Marines Malevolent

 

Wargear: Chainaxe, drum-fed bolt pistol, improved coms array, mixture of MkIV and MkIII war-plate with molecular bonding studs for reinforcement.

HIstory: 4 decade service record as vox specialist with the 2nd Company, Marines Malevolent. Veteran of Armageddon and the Valios IX campaign. Censured twice for "Actions unbecoming a member of the Adeptus Astartes." Thought lost with the majority of 2nd Company near the Hades Nebula after coming under attack by heretic forces from the Night Lords legion. Traitor legionnaire bearing defaced Marines Malevolent heraldry and matching his description was spotted operating with VIII Legion forces during the Joran Massacre, M41.

History: joined Night Lords during Dropsite Massacre, executed half of his squad. Maybe?

Ohhhh, my very own Night Lord.....

 

Brother Bariel served the 1st Legion honourably from the infancy of the Great Crusade. He earned many laurels and distinction in his role as Commander of a Veteran Assault company. It was during the Thramas campaign that Bariel was severely injured and slipped into a sus-an comma. When he awoke he found it was the Night Lords who has 'rescued' him. After a countless period of time, Bariel was convinced that his Legion had betrayed and abandoned him, and the Night Lords had truely saved him. Ever since pledging his new loyalties Bariel lives for any revenge he can visit upon his former brothers.

Epistolary Brother Toruk of the Angels of Redemption

 

Wielding a Force Sword forged at the beginning of the Imperium Brother Toruk quickly rose through the ranks of the Librarian.  As one of the few Inner Circle members of his Chapter he was privy to much information and lore.  Including the three year war between the Night Lords Legion and the Dark Angels Legion during the Heresy.

 

Brother Toruk "found" evidence of a Fallen hidden in an area raided quick often by the Night Lords Legions it seemed as if two Companies of Night Lords raided there but never together.  Leading a Company of Marines on a "Defensive mission to a star port of the Mechnicum" *actually about the Fallen* they were over run by the first Night Lords Company suffering 60% causalities able to finally defeat them, Toruk killed the Night Lord leader in single combat.  After raiding their ship they came across a Dark Angel brother chained up and in the mist of being *interrogated*.   Epistolary realized who he was and dismissed the Dark Angels with him all except the other Inner Circle members that had survived.  Upon relasing him from his binds but before he was able to bind him with their own chains the Fallen used Dark Magics and killed all but Toruk in the room and disappeared from sight.  

 

Toruk destroyed the Night Lords ship looking for the Fallen  but never finding a trail after that moment of him during the last moments of his search he came across a warded room, using his powers he burst thru the door and found a room with more lore and spells then even his chapter had access to and seeing what one marine could do...What could he do if he went about this the right way...Having all the material brought upon his Strike Cruiser he made to leave the system when the second Night Lords Company translated into the system and immediately opened fire on the Angels of Redemption Strike Cruiser crippling it and quickly boarding the ship.  Some of the most intenst fighting Toruk had even been in falling back from section to section until he was with his newly collected material.  A magic blast hits him dead center knocking him backwards into crates full of the matterial.  One of those crates smashes open and a book falls out and opens to a page with a powerful spell...one look and Toruk has it memorized standing up with his new ability he destroys the Night Lord Sorcerer with a look...as well as the other 3 Night Lords with him...a brother marine tells him to stop before he goes to far down the path he swore to stop...the brother marine is killed with a look as well as the other Angels of Redemption in the room with him...

 

All he hears is an evil laughter over his vox from the leader of the Night Lords..."Would you wish to join us cousin...?"

Brother Bariel welcome to the 8th which gear will you require so I can assign you to a company.

Preferably a jump pack, but beyond that Brother Bariel cares not for which weapons draw the blood of the 1st, only that they bleed ;)

Juvinal Ovid, Preators of Orpheus. 

Listed as missing in action following the assault on Tsagualsa. In reality he is the last remaining member of the force sent to board the Night lord vessel the "promise of agony".

 Following his capture he was subjected to an intensive period of torture. To his tormentors surprise he started to identify with them more than his former comrades. This is an example of a bizarre variant on what had been known on ancient texts as "stockhomers syndromic" this variant however is known to apothecarium of the VIIIth legion as "Sevatarion identification" following the example of the Raven 1st Captain Sevetar tortured into devotion.

 

Juvinal is now devoted to bringing terror to the lapdogs of the false throne at the closest range possible wielding bolt pistol and chainsword with brutal grace, though he always tries to leave his opponent alive but in agony for as long as possible "just so they know they have been beaten by a superior tactical system"

Name: Kur'gath

Legion: World Eaters

Wargear: Salvaged Mk III plate, Chain Axe and Bolt Pistol.

 

After the events of Istavaan III Kur'gath saw a rift forming between himself and his brothers. Where the nails in others drove them to seek mindless bloodshed his drove him to inflict agony and despair in his foes, which often caused him to fall far behind the others. During the Dropsite Massacre this was once more the case though this time he was thought lost and left behind for good. Abandoned by his legion he was found by a squad of Night Lords in the midst of torturing a Salamander. Though amatuerish in comparison to the Night Lords own torture techniques they saw in him a kindred spirit and one they could hone into a more apt tool.

Brother Toruk will be joining the bone devil. Brother Bariel will be joining Night Captain Tyre Mastema in 8th company as well.
Brother Juvinal Ovid will be joining 2nd company Night Captain Marbas Andromalius (if anyone can be a sadist in torture it would be that one).
Brother Kur'gath will also be in 2nd company so they can sharpen his talents.

keep the submissions coming all are excellent so far. if I missed any I'll have to reread my own thread to make up for it and my apoligizes in advance.

Now my own endeavors with pics. I decided I wanted to go a diffent way with my demon prince. while doing it this way makes it more difficult that more
fun atleast in my own twisted sense. I still have alot to do with him as I figure he's about 40% at the moment but on to the pics.

as I said long way to go as he's still headless but thats being worked on, armless and needs his legs finished. flesh tabard and trophies need added as well but
i had mentioned his base got revamped minorly do to an accident and you can see the changes here as well. comments always welcomed...

May I suggest a Renegade? Here's my suggestion:
Name: "Tantalus"
Chapter of Origin: Flesh Eaters
Wargear: Pair of oversized combat blades (counts-as-Lightning Claws) Mk. IV Power Armour (customized).
Background: Known only as Tantalus, this grisly butcher of men is a remorseless psychopath who delights in both eating and making trophies of his victims. Wearing a cloak of flayed skin over his gore-stained armour and decorated with hundreds of jangling bone fetishes fashion from worthy opponents Tantalus is a ghoulish feaster of the dead and devout disciple of the Bone Devil, seeing him as a kindred spirit that understands as he does that all living things are but prey, and they are the apex predators.

 

EDIT: I forgot to mention his armour mark, now fixed. :P

Name: Bracchus

Chapter of Origin: Mortificators

Wargear: Narthecium and Reductor, bolt pistol and power maul.

 

Brother Bracchus, a former Apothecary who saw many decades service with the Mortificators. He has an unparalleled knowledge of various pathogens, diseases and plagues and their respective cures. It was this knowledge that saw his secondment to the world Praxus IX where a particularly virulent plague had taken hold and was rapidly destroying the population.

Unfortunately, when Bracchus studied the plague, he was to find there was no cure and in turn, was infected himself. As his body was ridden with buboes and he organs were liquefying within his torso, the origin of the plague was made known to him. Recognising Bracchus's knowledge of plagues and diseases, Nurgle visited Bracchus in his delirious dreams and promised him eternal life if Bracchus was to pledge his unswerving loyalty and service to Nurgle.

When the Night Lords arrived in the Praxus system, they found that all life had been scoured from the planets by the plague. They made planet-fall on Praxus Prime and found Bracchus waiting for them. Gone was the once proud and noble veneer of an Apothecary, replaced with the bloated and rotting husk of a Plague Marine.
