Furryblueelf
I am a big fan of the Thousand Sons, however I am not the biggest fan of the traditional blue/yellow, blue/gold or pre-heresy red/silver paint schemes. I do have a rather big man crush on the jade-ish green/dirty gold scheme as displayed by the one lone model on page 87 of the CSM Codex. However try as I might I have never been able to find a premade colour that matches or been able to mix one up similar. Most of my mixes end up looking like the Sons of Horus scheme. Can any of my fellow painters out there help me identify an accurate colour match. If so, I would be ever so grateful! Furryblueelf
Sorry, I was not sure if I could post a picture from a codex. Here it is. In case I have breached a rule, please let me know and I will nuke it. http://i856.photobucket.com/albums/ab122/furryblueelf/Alt1kson.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/278676-alt-thousand-sons-colour-identification/#findComment-3430741 Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
At a glance, I would guess a 1 to 3 mix of Incubi Darkness and Sotek Green for the base color, 1 to 2 mix of Incubi Darkness/Sotek Green for shade, then highlight up through Kabalite and Sybarite Green. I'm seeing thunderhawk blue as a highlight color, but my screen may just be displaying the colors differently..... :? But yes, definitely an incubi darkness base.
