Power Scourge?

Hi guys. Just a couple of Questions concerning the Power Scourge.

 

First of all, as it is listed as a weapon and not a Vehicle upgrade, is it possible to give it to champions and lords ECT by purchasing it as a 'Power Weapon'.

 

Secondly, if you can purchase it in this way, do you think it would be acceptable to use it in other armies, such as Dark Eldar?

No you can't buy it for an HQ.

Why would it not though? It is listed as a weapon not a vehicle upgrade. Also in the Power weapon section it states "If a models wargear says it is a power weapon with no further special rules..." then it has to fit one of the four categories. However as it has the Flail rule, this would surely make it an "Unusual" weapon, much like some force weapons are categorised, but under "Power weapon" because of it's name? So it should be calssed as a power weapon?

1 - the power scourge is not listed in the armory section and as such is not "buyable" by characters. it can only be used by those that have the option in their entry (hellbrutes and defilers iirc)

2 - you cant swap gear from codex to codex. if your gaming group is into such shenanigans knock yourself out, but its not rules legal
