Oops, sorry. If I'd have known you were updating the table I'd have waited so you had less work to do.sweat.gif

On the plus side, that is a nifty table you got there. Hats off to you and Eddie for making it work!thumbsup.gif

No problem at all. I'd have to update it sometime. tongue.png

That's a good point.pinch.gif

Wow, if I'm tired enough not to realise that I should really go to bed.

On the other hand I've just a cool idea for my next primarch/planet combo...laugh.png

Okay, this should be the whole table up to Ace's Cthonian Ferrus. Please look over it. If something is missing, please PM me so that way you know I know and I will fix it as soon as possible.

Khan, Lord of the finest Arena in Nuceria is me, I've done two Corax Olympia, they're at different stages of the guy's life (plus the first was to reserve a spot)

rival twin gangster Alpharius was purged? :(

The throne room was empty save for the hunched figure of Dammekos. He stared ahead, eyes focused on nothing. He knew he should have been joyous. Olympia was his. The last outpost of resistance fell that morning, an outbreak of bleeding guts weakened the defenders at just the right moment. It should have been his moment of triumph.

But.

The first sign something was not quite as planned came over the vox. A panicked voice from one of the northern outposts, saying the power was down and people were in the streets. More and more reports came in. They should have been GLAD. Ungrateful scum. He could hear the cheers from outside.

He thought he heard a knock,  no, they would have barged the door down and lynched him. He turned his campaign journal over in his hands. All the battle plans, all the maps and all of the victories. It meant nothing. He had rushed to his ancestral home to find it empty. Traitorous heathens. If... No... When he survived today, he would hunt them down and kill them all.

The candles flickered. Dammekos looked around the room, trying to find the source. There, an open windows and... He froze. The shadow slowly but surely became more and more human. It was perched in the alcove like some bird of prey, head tilted in amusement? Puzzlement?

"Corax?"

"you were expecting someone else?"

The Tyrant of Dammekos fought to keep composed but could feel the warmth spreading from his crotch, liquid trickling down his leg.

After a long discussion with Cormac over PM, and a longer period of calming breaths, I will drop my stories back into this. Simply because there are a few people here who I respect, and have no desire of offending. I will not, though, return to this thread until the (first) voting period ends, and things become more stable.

My apologises to those who have enjoyed my work, and I am humbled by the support you all have given me. Thank you.

On the other side of the coin, I have zero tolerance for narrow-minded idiots. If my spider sense starts tingling again, I'm the hell out of here.

With the groups' acceptance, I will return my stories tonight after work.

EDIT: Not sure what happened there...

Dammekos scrambled in the dirt as the crowds parted from him. Corax seemed bigger, not the idle child who'd spent those all those hours in class, in tutorial, in sparring practise distracted and vacant. He'd never paid attention as his boy spared a kind word for an equerry or fed a dog a scrap of food. Corax was the son, adopted granted, of the tyrant of Olympia. He should have been stood alongside his father as the machines of war broke open all his rival's castles.

Corax stood impassive over him.

"I give the word and they rip you limb from limb, " he said, staring at Dammekos through jet black eyes, "but I'm not going to give the word, for I am not like you. I promise I will make it quick."

Dammekos' only reply was to hack a gobbet of blood and spittle into the black dirt.

"Do you want to know how?"

Still no reply.

"I offered men hope. I offered men change. No more thousand man charges into the valley of death. No more tyrants ruling from distant thrones, while priests and administrators misrule in the valleys and towns"

Still, the only reply wasa look of sheer hatred.

"The best battle is one fought for your behalf, and none knows if you even landed a punch. Every step of your way, I plotted and planned, I talked and I coerced and you fought my battles for me. And now, the moment you thought you won it all, you've lost."

He grasped Dammekos by the hair and dragged him back to his hall. He threw the broken man inside, ignoring the mumbled cries for mercy. The doors were shut and barred by two men, dressed in mismatched uniforms and wearing black arm bands with a stylised bird motif. The pair stepped back and each picked a flamer from the floor.

Corax turned to the crowd as fire pulsed into the keep of the last tyrant of Olympia.

"Today is the beginning of new times for our planet. Never more shall man dominate over man. Never more shall a tyrant stand on high peak, a top gilded throne and play with our lives. Never. More."

The fire silhouetted the primarch as he started to realise his place in the world. And in the night sky, a star appeared to be getting closer.

I will be conversing with Kol to make sure we grabbed everyone's pieces. I think the recent pages' drama makes it clear that this whole alt. heresy idea could crumble before it is even born, so I will be starting the voting period. Once that is all done, this thread will be fair game once more to explore its original point.

The candidacy filing period will end midnight tonight, -8 GMT. Once that passes, no later Primarch/Home world combo submissions will be accepted for voting.

So nobody is confused by timezones, I am posting this at 4:25 pm, my time. So, seven and a half hours from this post.

Okay, revised table Part I

Okay, apparently formatting is becoming a problem.

Okay, apparently formatting is becoming a problem.

The one linked above is Russ'. I did another one, of Horus. It was like the canon Heresy, modified to be limited to the Inwit Empire, from the perspective of another Primarch just coming across the area and discovering Horus.

How are we supposed to cast our votes?

Just post a list of which Primarch/Homeworld combos we like the best, or is there going to be an organized process where each Primarch (or Homeworld) is announced, and we pick the option we like the best, or something esoteric with hanging and pregnant chads and similar peculiar vote tallying practices?
