I'm looking for critique on a 2k list I'm building - most of this is based on models I've ordered/own and I also wanted to do an almost pure terminator army without being Dark Angels...

It totals 2002 Points - I'll be facing mostly 40k armies and as such anything from Ork Hordes and Tau Gunlines to Deathwing and Centurions...

What is your anti tank and anti flyer tactic?

This gives me 2 Vehicles (transporting Praetor + Com Squad and Champion + 5 Termies), 21 Terminators (inc. Com Squad and Praetor), 1 Champion (uber-challenges guy) and the Contemptor for back field tank busting or close range mauling

I'm thinking of adding in another couple of LR Phobos' and at some point I'll be getting 3 Spartans (got to be able to carry 10 Terminators)

I know that my LGC means I'll be up against most flyers in 40k, one guy has 2 Necron thingies plus 2 Heldrakes, there's at least 2-3 people with Ravens and one guy 'might' have an Eagle and Caestus haha

I'm mostly running on being able to flatten any enemy troops and tanks, then ignore the flyers due to the 2+/4++ although I'll be getting some Vet Tac Squads which will run MLs w/ Suspensor Webs and Flakks for anti-air.

Pretty interesting. You can drop that Frag Assault Launchers as you already have Grenade Harness and seek some points for Ceramite.

That's good - wasn't sure on how the Grenade Harnesses worked re: assaulting from LRs so I'll drop the Frag Assault Launchers, thinking about whether I swap a few Volkite Chargers for combi-weapons, what d'you guys think?

I honestly would kit your contemptor out for either long range by doing Dual TLLC arms and havoc launcher which can still move and shoot, pop aircraft and tanks equally well....or do a kheres assault cannon with DCCW with gravgun for close support. I'm loving this army list and I think it would be a fun one to have some honor duels. A Lion has to put a dog in its place ;) I kid. Dual Spartans are just nasty but definitely would be fun

Unfortunately the only arms I've got for the contemptor are the dccw and conversion beamer although I will be magnetizing and getting 2 more IH contemptors with different weaponry. Ironic that you choose the lion and dog haha my 40k army is the Wolves :D

 

I'll be picking up either ferrus or a phobos soon although idk if I can justify the cost of a spartan just yet :( my final force will include Ferrus, 1-2 Iron Fathers and at least 2 Spartans :D carrying Morlocks ofcs :p
