It's 47•c I'm overheated and exhausted, have the DA Commision 6 other projects and I've been exhausted from laying hundreds of meters of conduit in trenches through a heat wave. But the chaos gods care not so strike me down you bastards for I fear not the wrath of nurgle slanessh or tzeentch... Just few year ago when i started my new Iron Warriors force in 2011, I always wanted to add a unit of Fallen Angels, but I was never keen on the orignaly unit I'd painted back then. I think the Fallen I've sign up for Call of Chaos are more my style. Like wise with the Warpsmith. Too many details - lenses, skulls, helmets on spikes, blood, and ALL the script and freehand, none of which I've even started yet. Plus the flames on the braziers are giving me nothing but gak and I'm just getting frustrated with it, which isn't really a good state to finish projects in, especially when it's a superheavy and you want it to be all fancy. Despite that issue, I also REALLY feel like the skull on the barrel should be on fire, but there's just no time to sculpt that at the moment. So I'm out, I'd rather finish it tomorrow and be happy with it than rush it to completion today and be angry - although that WOULD please Khorne. Really don't have an excuse, I just waited until the last minute to start on this thing. Still, definitely got more done in this Call than I would have otherwise. Congrats to those who have (or will have) finished in time, really great work in this thread. Thanks to Semper for picking up the reins from Nihm and running this beast - gotta say I like the new three-updates-per-unit system, it's more updates but it's much better for when Real Life gets in your way for an extended period of time. Really hope to see that again in the future. I accept whatever punishment awaits my soul, although I suppose it WAS damned anyway... The last details were the most difficult. Somewhere in the house is a primed boltgun I didn't notice was missing until the very end, so one of those guys has a bolter I painted reeeeeeally fast and put in his hands, just to be complete. Some of the details will have to be fixed or added to at some point, but these guys are complete. 10 Chosen with 5 plasmaguns, ready to rock and roll! Im not gonna lie, I hate paintng so much, but working to a deadline gave me the kick up my fat hairy arse to get something done, Im shocked that I actually got it all done considering I started months after everyone else, but it was a laugh, whens the next call???
