Glory to the XIVth Legion!

 

I pledge to complete the following:

 

10 man tactical squad, sgt with power fist

 

5 deathshroud terminators

 

1 legion praetor with scythe and volkite pistol

 

 

Optionals I may finish and add to over time include:

5 man support squad with volkite weaponry

Deathguard contemptor Dreadnought with Multi Melta and power fist.

Things are looking good, I look forward to see which Legion will have the biggest following in this first L&T! :)

 

@ Emperor's Teeth: apart from the fantastic test model, I used your "in the bag" pic as your "before" pic. You cannot get more "before" than that! :D

 

@ chaplain mortis: as above, on both counts! This is an amazing test mini... And the metalic feel is all over! A very nice way to differentiate on the "mainly black" theme that uis shared by so many Legions...

 

@ Dange: Good to see you taking the big step! :D Keep in mind though, we're aiming for legal units, so I upped the assault squad to 10 - do you think you'll take on the challenge? :devil:

 

@ Danny Cyanide: Done! Easiest thing in the world! (to change your pledge that is, not to paint them - that looks daunting)!

Capt. Semper - I've had to change/add a few bits added Legion Champion as below (in red) and a 3rd Squad of Cataph. Terminators (below in red), removed the LR Phobos (may re-add later but can't afford it yet) and changed the weapon/s for Squad Unbreakable (in red). - Hope that's okay?

I Samael, chosen of the dark prince, lord of the exalted host, liege of the glittering legions, master of disco, pledge myself and my maniple to the cause.

 

I pledge to ensure that all of my maniple will be finished to the standards expected of the third legion, even the rapier las destroyer that has been half built for the last year.

 

In addition, I pledge to built and complete the following squads for the maniple

got a few pics of the master of signals...now I know I wanted all mk3 in this army but couldn't help including this mini..its soooo cool..

its just blu-tacked at the mo and awaiting a charnabal sabre and volkite serpent to be delivered....now to work out how to get the helmet fixed in the right place...nitemare

Okay so I've primed the first 5 veterans my Vigilator and my first heavy support marine, the predator gets primed tonight hopefully;

I'm in. The Sons of Horus. Assorted Legion assets operating in unknown warzone after the events of Istvaan. 

 

My long term goal is to make at least one of each unit in the Legion army list and be able to use any of the rites of war at about the 1500 pts level. That way I can make a massive amount of variations to my army list. With few multiples of the same unit it'll never be statistically competitive but I really couldn't care less. 

 

My favourite theme for the XVIth is the Speartip. I like the idea of drop pods hitting hard and fast from an unexpected quarter and Legion assets backing them up via deep strike. Catalun Reavers screaming down on jump packs out the back of a passing Storm Bird. Justaerin teleporting in and obliterating the enemy command and control elements. I don't want an enemy to know what's hit them. By the time they gather their senses it's too late. Their armoured assets now smoking, twisted wrecks, burning plasteel coffins for the crews that never got a chance to shoot back. Giant silhouettes stalking through the smoke for survivors of that first crippling attack.

 

This is just a first draft; not decided which order they're being built or painted.

I know I should be resting and whatnot but I started work on the predator, all this is done with my left hand. Still got a fair bit to do so ill get it done soon.
