@ Marshal2 Crusaders: Good to have you on board! I'm sure that you'll compelte those Breachers and move on to do another two units! :D

 

@ Scribe of Khorne: Looks promising mate! Are the Destroyers' jump packs plastic? I have bought the Sang Guard kit for my Emperor's Children mainly for the jump packs for my Palatine Blades... Are the ones coming with the Destroyers the same?

I actually got my Destroyers without, but yes thats my understanding, and yes they are the Sang Guard kit (I had many...and have scavanged them for a number of projects).

 

The only difference is that you can see the diamond shaped bits on the destroyers actual MKIV JP's, which the Sang Guad kit does not have.

Recce Squad is going well.... may be finished this week if I can manage to put a few hours in.....

I've also built my Apothecary (who is also part of the vow), and some other chaps (who aren't yet part of the vow but might be )

They've been blu-tac'ed on to temporary bases, primed and given a diluted wash of brown to help me pick out the detail when I come to paint them. You may well ask why I am priming them white when they are from the First Legion.... the answer is simple - I don't use black to paint black armour (except a single wash of Army Painter Dark Tone, which is very similar to the old Badab Black wash). Instead I paint them grey and shade down from there

My first update then!

I suffer from swapping minis around between squads and breaking their arms off for different weapon choices, but I've finally settled on the minis for my veteran tactical squad!

Here they are, built and ready for basing and then some paint!
