Hello fellow members of the Ecclisiarchy,

Now that the new codex's lifespan is approaching the 24 hour mark and this being the internet, surely it's high time we began to reveal the tiny hints and tricks that we have already discovered in order to aid our brethren through this tumultuous time?

As such, feel free and please do post any findings below that you think will be useful in battles, tricks you found whilst playing, or battle plans you have come up with below concerning the new Adepta Sororitas. No matter how small of obscure, if it's something cool you can do with the new codex, then please share it!

Let's make ourselves a resource we can all share and teach people to fear the wrath of the Sisters of Battle!

A ministorum priest can take a power maul and use Smash to attack with S 8 AP2, 2 attacks and re-rolling to hit on at least one of them. Against vehicles you even get to re-roll the pen, and if you take the Mace of Valaan instead and there's a model with the Deamon special rule around then you get armourbane and fleshbane too! You've got a very nice but cheap tank killer in melee.

Yes, but the Mace of Valaan is also only 3 points cheaper than an Eviscerator, which is arguably a better tank killer... and why not just Smash with a regular mace for one attack at S8 AP2 for less than half the price?

Outflanking Dominion squads are still the shniz. Centurion squad in cover? Dissolves. Terminators? Hehe. Marneus 'God of War' Calgar? Well, he might survive, but not for very long.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I had an amusing idea for an assault mob army now that we can take five battle conclaves without taking up a single force organisation slot.

Aha, I totally brain melted on the fact he could take a regular power maul... ok I'm going to alter my original post! If you smash with the Eviscirator does it double the Str twice to hit at str 10?

Btw Miko, would you be able to elaborate on how you set up your Doms in that situation? For instance, is it a full 4 meltas? how many girls in the squad? combis? Simulcrum? Have your target priorities with doms changed now that they can ignore cover?

Thanks :)

That's funny.  I can't think of a serious tactical reason to do it but I think this is something I need to try out a time or 3.

ok so i wanted use this tactic more than once before i spill it buuuuuut, i know you say jacobs is nasty with repentia, but add in another priest and a nearby laud hailer and it get to sickening proportions 5++ with reroll, 3+ fnp hatred, reroll wounds (oh and the priests have a 4++ reroll 3+fnp too) its pretty nice, had priests up front to absorb wounds at int

btw this is under the assumption that multi hyms stack, i cant find where they dont

Target priority for Melta-minions hasn't changed much, although I'll admit that Termis and Centis in cover are tastier than they were before.

I set up my Dominion squads today as thus;

First squad was Combi-melta, Veteran, 4x Meltagun, Priest with Eviscerator in a Flamer Immolator.

Second squad was Combi-melta, 4x Meltagun, Extra Dominion with Simulacrum in a Melta Immolator.

I got very lucky and both came on exactly where they were best suited - the flamer immo came on next to the scouts and devastators, while the melta immo came on next to the Centurions and Vindicator... ^^;

The priest never got to do his thing - the devastator lascannon survived and killed him before I could get into combat - but other than that, both squads performed admirably.

I didn't today. I think that the thing with the Simulacrum is that it relies on the unit surviving past their initial assault - it's probably better on larger squads. The Hailers will always be useful, but as they're what, five points? There's no real reason to leave them behind other than the fact it drains from the rest of the army.

That was what I was thinking really. Now acts of faith are once a battle anything that can help ensure it happens when needed has to be worth it.
