Lord Marshal Ragnrok
Re-post of the thread that was lost. Emperor's Children XV Millennial Lord Commander: Horatio Augustus This is a thread for another EC Loyalist faction. this one was too far away to make it to Istvann. still in brainstorming mode. Unorganized ideas at present: they were too far from Istvann to be called back, so they escaped execution. others within their Millennial were tasked with silencing them, but the loyalists numbers were greater and their leadership stronger. they have renounced their Legion and Primarch as traitors, the antithesis of perfection, puppets of debauchery they know that their Primarch is a prisoner in his own body, but he too is corrupted and weak, he is not their father they have renounced their Legion color as the embodiment of its sins and flaws. their new colors reflect their adherence to the original legion beliefs and their loyalty to the Imperium and Emperor. they now work with other marginalized imperial forces to operate as hit and run units -they strike at traitor outposts and supply lines to weaken their war effort Plan for internal conflict: Millennial is on compliance mission far from Istvann Fulgrim must devise other means by which to clean its ranks Lord Commander is loyalist, Fulgrim tasks commander of 1st Battalion to oversee the execution of him and all other loyalists in Millennial most of Millennial is actually loyalist traitors mostly members of 1st Battalion, but not exclusively 2nd Battalion commander is killed by 1st Battalion commander, who is slain by Lord Commander traitors attempt to use surprise to quickly gain the upper hand, but the loyalists are disciplined and have better leadership ranking chaplain is almost one of the first to be executed by traitors, survives and becomes key advisor for his brothers traitors eliminated, those who were captured are questioned about their orders before execution. most of the in-fighting occurs within the warships, so the fleet is largely still intact Millennial post-betrayal ideas: Millennial commanders decide to reorganize the Millennial - eliminate unnecessary ranks and divisions ex lieutenants and battalions - becomes for similar to modern chapter see fit to change their colors in order to reflect loyalty and permanent separation from Legion begin devising how their forces are best put to use in the war effort Millennial Symbol: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/mediawiki/images/6/64/III_Legion_Pad.jpg Pre-Heresy/Early Heresy Color Scheme: http://images.wikia.com/warhammer40k/images/4/42/EC_Legionary_Mk_IV.jpg Millennial Color Scheme: Marine Images: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282463-emperors-children-loyalists-wip/ Share on other sites

Olis
Uh... why are they green? Surely they'd still be pink/purple, right? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282463-emperors-children-loyalists-wip/#findComment-3506593 Share on other sites
Captain Semper
Nope! :P This was actually debated before the recent data loss and Lord Marshal decreed that those guys wanted to disconnect from their traitorous kin. Lets see how this will develop... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282463-emperors-children-loyalists-wip/#findComment-3506614 Share on other sites
Olis
Nope! This was actually debated before the recent data loss and Lord Marshal decreed that those guys wanted to disconnect from their traitorous kin. Hmm. Surely they'd want to use black, because of the shame? I'm not getting where green comes in. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282463-emperors-children-loyalists-wip/#findComment-3506655 Share on other sites

Uberlord Gendo
O_O That teal... that's the exact color scheme (except for the white) that I have on many of my assembled loyalists. (Who also double as a 40k chapter.--They actually have slightly different shades of blue/green, ranging from a sea green to being midnight clad. Ostensibly because they did the repainting in the field and keep the colors different to mark different squads and geneseeds, but mostly because that shade proved a pain to mix reliably.) It looks very nice with a bit of brass scorpion for the weathering. What happened during/post heresy? Lord Marshal Ragnrok
well aint that a coincidence? haha even in the digital world it took forever to find a color i liked in the teal range. props to ya well i suppose i will write on the battle that they were away on as that preceded the attempted purging. that all happened around the time of the Istvaan III battle. Lord Marshal Ragnrok
just added new Millenial Honor Guard color schemes. see what ya think. also i know its been forever, my plan for most of my wips right now is to organize the ideas into written form, kind of as a starting point for future serious development.
