Urauloth
All I really have to say w/r/t the fire raptor is I wish it was plastic instead of resin because I really want one. It's such a nice model.
Denison512
All I really have to say w/r/t the fire raptor is I wish it was plastic instead of resin because I really want one. It's such a nice model. A friend of mine bought the Storm Eagle... Hes only put half of it together because it made him so angry that it fitted so badly :S and a huy at our club had to use half a packet of green stuff on his Spartan to get it to look right! Kaan
Mine has been ordered. I read a very detailed assembly blog on the Storm Eagle, and that intimidated me suitably to not want to order nor assemble it. Instead, I contacted the folks at Blue Table Painting to assemble and magnetize the model for me.
whiteridder
Got mine also, but need to do a lot of work. But looking forward when it is finished!!
pedrogzc
I like it very much, but I fear that the fire raptor is more oriented to an air-ground role than air-air. Marines in general should wait for an air superiority fighter
Kaan
I got my fireraptor assembled at Blue Table Painting and forwarded the model to Painthammer Studios for a nice paint job. I've posted up links to my "The-Waaagh" paint blog, because I couldn't get pics posted on B&C. It is a Xmas gift for my son, since he inherited my SW army. Enjoy! Castellan Michael
The rules for the Raptor are marked as experimental - not yet sanctioned. I would not allow my opponent to field one! Space Wolves are better off taking a small allied detachment of Iron Hands and an Aegis: -Master of Forge (Repairs on 3+ and has it will not die) -5 Tactical Marines (6+ FnP) -StormRaven (it will not die) -Aegis Defence Line with Quad Gun Presto, very effective and tough AA Didn't they become official in the new IA II Space Marine book? Evilmerlin
It is. But from what what I was told, the rules in the experimental PDF are the same. In fact, it is actually more accurate as the book has been errata-ed to allow the Blood Angels to take it and giving it the Autocannon upgrade.
