I'm....not sure the shield works, without doing something more extensive to it. The intent is good, but that shield is sorta unique. KBA is a good idea, although at that point, you might as well use a standard breacher shield, or one of the shields from the other shield set from FW.

Hmm... pics came out a little bit janky, but I'm guessing you guys get the general idea

@ DSS7 - Hah! I like that idea

@ Warmaster - I'm still not 100% on it. How'd it turn out?

@KBA - Unfortunately I went a less Chiropteran way with it...

@ Forte - Awe, I'll paint mine really pretty just for you happy.png

@ Chaptermasterdemon - Oh, anything good?

@ Jasp - Yeah, I just consider it a little running joke now happy.png and I'm not an Astartes, I just play one on the internet :P

@ Warmaster - Well for metal, bronze is just Warplock underneath of Runelord. Everything silver is leadbelcher, badab black, then a little highlight of ironbreaker. For battle damage, it comes in three parts. His shield and eye are actually cut into the resin. With the shield, it worked out well since I was none to gentle removing that giant goofy stylized I. The blood is tamiya clear red in two steps. First is mixed with a little badab black, the second mixed with a little devlan mud. It goes on splotchy on the sword and places that look like could catch an overspray. I'm still getting exact splatter patterns down. Lastly, the mud is just carcharadon granite (I have a little stockpile left happy.png ) sponged on with packing foam.

If there's ever anything I can help with, let me know. I'm not an old hand with years of experience like Heinrich or Ven, but I've got a few good ideas now and then.

@ Kol - Well manicured knives, I'll have you know!

Morning folks!

@ Jasp - I have eh? Fair enough glad I can do some good around here ^_^ But I'm glad if I inspired you to take up midnight clad and/or re-take up the World Eaters. I hate painting white, but I'm really starting to like how the finished models look. Plus you can't tell I suck at white under all those splatters

@ hushrong - Thanks! That's exactly what I was going for. I wanted him to look like he had just obliterated a squad by himself (probably some Ultramarines) and was torn to hell doing it. Regardless of being gore/mud splattered, having chunks knocked out of him and being blind in one eye, he points to that Evocati waiting for him... "You're next, asshat."

@ Forte - Nope! Us Nightlords have notoriously stable genestock, dontcha know? Just a determination to finish both a model I'm excited about and the first season of "Orange is the New Black."

@ Kol - There's that Tardis business again. It sounds vaguely more insensitive the more I hear it. Like someone is making fun of a remedial math class.

@ Gratan - Not bad. A little heavier than what I normally listen to, but it's definitely something new.

@ nhaunter - Yep, it's all Tamiya. Just different variations and mixes with badab black, devlan mud and unmolested formulas.

@ Cormac - Haha, it was totally (probably) accidental

@ Barabbas - They are white with red hands, correct? I could see that. I'm glad we see World Eaters the same happy.png I know what you mean though... his blood splatter does seem refreshingly... I dunno... juicy?

Anywho, I'm kinda starting to like the World Eaters a bit more than just in concept, since I loath painting white. I like them as a stark contrast to my Nightlords who are pretty pristine. I'm very amused by the little notch taken out of his crest. That's my fav.

@ Midian - Thanks! Honestly it was more the fact I was frustrated with that giant goofy I than anything. I was none to gentle removing it. Luckily it turned out looking like legit battle damage.

@ Kol - Oh I wasn't complaining at you! Sorry if it came out that way. I just find Dr. Who an odd blank spot in my otherwise impressive "nerd resume." And TARDIS is a silly acronym ^_^
