Flint13
Fangs of the Jackal A Spear to Kill a God Machine Production and assembly of the primary armament for the mighty engine Jackal Dawn has entered its final stages. Despite numerous set backs of malfunctioning cargo servitors (Ref: Incident #Af3349-42) and the misplacement of vital components, the weapon shall be of excelling quality. In her most dubious, yet ingenious intellect, the Arch-Magas (unhallowed may her code forever be) re-purposed the sturdy frame of an aging lacquer applicator from the machine floor to complete the weapon. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/674/QU0ICV.jpg In a trivial, temporary assignment to his ancillary capacity of Enginseer, Adept Koh'dhal stands loyally by as a representation of proportional magnitude. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/673/4lMgqI.jpg In secondary consideration, for your most impressive and astute of perusals, the Arch-Magas requests your fleshy "opinion" on the application of war-pigments to the completed god machine. Augustus b'Raass
Damn that is huge! I´d say the colour looks great )blue± yay!' The spear looks a little croocked though, Flint - is that the pic or are you building and then bending? No worries, I'll heat it up and bend it straight before I throw primer on it. Montuhotep
I like how the Champion looks a complete bad-ass even with a helmet on..... ephrael
Your whites are looking much better now. I would recommend thinning your paints a little more and blending in the highlights on the purple. Especially the shoulder pads without markings. I don't know about the armor plate for the Knight though. The colors look very odd and the stripes of different colors seem "off." The finish on the plates just doesn't look smooth. I'm thinking that will stand out later as well. Dark Rage
Big fan of dual wielding. Looking very nice, the sword handle on the marine in the middle looks off but other than that a very nice squad. Flint13
Morning guys! @ Demon2027 - For the EC I'm not 100% sure yet. I want to put a little work into my micro-titan, then see what I'm excited about from there. @ Augustus - Did you just quote Baywatch at me? ... I love Baywatch Nights! @ Paladin7221 - Thanks! I have a thing about marines with helmets. As in they should always have one. *always* Bc not having a helm means the Night Lords are going to aim for the head. @ mikhail - Glad to hear the whites are looking up to par! I'll give the purple another shot when I have a few more Emperor's Children on the painting table. I've got a few extra pics of the new paint scheme on the mini-titan as well. Let me know what you think ^_^ @ Dark Rage - Me too! Hmm... his saber does look a bit wonky from that angle doesn't it? @ 200plus - Glad to hear. I wanted to make every one of his bodyguards a distinct individual, since they are all likely veterans of dozens of campaignes and all terrific warriors in their own right. They just happen to work for one who's a little bit more so... allegedly @ Barabbas - Thanks buddy! So, small update for right now. Here's a rough draft of what I want the armor on the Knight Titan to look like. Its a lil difficult to photograph shiny metal, but I hope this gets the idea across. I'll hit it with some matte varnish later to see if that helps. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/539/hbYUbX.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/540/4Zocjt.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282556-savage-midnight-armored-up-an-rolling-heavy-for-etl-pg109/page/42/#findComment-3766753 Share on other sites
Augustus b'Raass
Yes I did, and that's what you get for calling your model 'lifeguard champion'. ;) Love the shin armour. Pics are fine - don;t risk dulling the metallic sheen with matte varnish!! Fracture
I think that shin armour will look top notch with the rest of the knight finished. Flint13
Foundations of A God-Machine Slayer Praise be to the Everlasting God Dragon of Black Metal (may joy forever be found in his infinite binary coils). The Jackal Dawn rises slowly from the basic metals and cogs of the machine floor, as it's primary mode of motivation stand complete. Adept Koh'dhal begins the rights of Ferrum Invinciblus upon the lower frame of the mighty god machine. Flint13
How tall is that thing?! It's a fair bit larger than the GW Knight. **SNIP** All the better to lance its goofy face off I just realized looking at that pic though, I built my lancer as both right handed and the power spear retracted. Hellath
I am finally getting up to date with this thread, but now I don't know where to start commenting it. I obviously love the work you have done on your Night Lords, as they are among the most creative conversions I have seen. But then I have seen your beatiful Emperor's Children and instantly fell for them. The purple-white-gold color combination is just amazing, and am really in awe of how fast you can paint obtaining such great results! Now, I need to check your XII Legion... Keep up the great work!
