Smart man. It looks very nice. How did you cast it? I mean, can I do that with instamold? If so, I'm gonna have a squad of jetbikes coming up sometime this spring =)

I use silicone RTV to make moulds, instamold is that reusable putty like mould right? I think its possible to make 2 part moulds with that stuff but I have never used it and I'm not sure how well detail would come out when it comes to pressing a model into it.

Some progress

It's looking great, man. The one nitpick I have is that is seems a bit curved in the overhead picture. Not sure if it's a trick of the camera or not, but it may be worth investigating.

Thanks, your right about the frame being curved the fine cast version came like that and I just couldn't seem to get it sorted out before I made a cast, should have some progress on the terminator in a few days been a bit busy lately but made a start on rivets and arms.

Some jetbike progress

So some small progress on the terminator, finally got around to finished the left leg and added some rivets to the shoulders which I am making a cast of.

Wasn't sure about how to do the back of this so just decided to go with some rear vents and plan on adding some cables running from the rear torso and into the upper legs.

Thanks for the comments,

More work on the terminator, shoulders on hold at the moment ran out of silicone after making first part of the shoulder mold, got to get some more soon so been working on the body and arms this is the pose I am considering.

Added some rivets to the plates around the helmet, the grey was used to gauge how smooth the green stuff was and to make sure there weren't any marks left after I glued the rivets in place. The hammer arm is still in early WiP stages as for the other arm I went with a wrist mounted combi/storm bolter and a sort of bionic ball joint between the limbs, hope that's ok.

Will be doing some more work on rivets around the legs while adding cables to areas on the armour.

C&C welcome as always.

I... I don't even know what to say. He's just incredible. The Combi-Bolter is a beautiful touch, I love how it's underslung of his wrist. I'm also really excited to see these studded shoulderpads, they just sound wicked.

Only two things I'm wondering: First, would a drum magazine be possible for the Combi-bolter? Second, though I like the thunder hammer, I'm a touch curious what he would look like with a powerfist, similar to Greeyall's artwork.

Insanely minor nitpicks compared to the beauty you are creating, man. I'd give you a hug, if I wasn't on the other side of the planet.

Shoulder casted, so I took a full model shot, think these shoulders turned out better than the last ones, took the skulls of the sides as they made the shoulders point out more and I also thought about adding a skull to the front of one of the shoulders, the rivets were a bit of a pain since I don't use a pressure chamber for casting but can add the ones that didn't come out correct. Made an attempt at a drum magazine, may have gone over the top with the size.... also made a start on a powerfist as well.

C&C welcome.

And mine as well. He's stunning. The power fist is absolutely perfect, and I'm actually a fan of the drum mag. He's an Iron Warrior after all; there's no such thing as too much ammunition. :)

I'm really looking forward to seeing the next update!

A little update, been hectic outside the hobby so not got around to much. Riveted the legs and some iron hands details on the pads.

Also some fairly small changes to the arms.

Soooo..... more rivets, also forgot to mention in last pictures, the launcher was raised higher so it aims over the shoulders and the back was changed to better accommodate the shoulders. Some work on the bolter, added an slot for shell casings and change the wrist gauntlet to allow the thumb to be pressing the trigger, just some cables to add, a few more rivets here and there then can hopefully get it cast.
