Codex: =][= Henchmen, what type of warbands are you taking?

I fear the LR List is a lot less scary than it seems sadly, a similar list was proposed on the BT section to which people said it would get glanced to death or still a bit of melta around/MC/Walkers :) I think it lookes better on paper than in practice especially at 2k points

I think this list has more legs than you give it credit for. Dont forget you'll have small army of servo skulls to keep scouts and infiltrators away. You have cotz giving you the best interceptor rule going. Throw in some grey knights for warp quakes and you can effectively keep the melts at bay. Outside melta what is seriously going to damage this list?

Also you still have 2 dev squads worth of twin li led lascannons. Potential 4+ invuns from divination powers that will protect the lNd raiders.

As much as I want to agree, MCs tau shooting etc there is a lot more out there, it definitely looks like a solid list but not top tier :)

 a double force org Inquisition Primary, Inquisition detachment, and everything in Valkyries.

Okay six Valkyries scares the hell out of me, it also scares the hell out of my wallet, maybe some Imperial Fist allies to take care of AA buildings or tanks on the first turn before your Valks come in?

That'd actually be nine Valkyries :)

Or how about this....

Flying Monkeys ;)  Inquisitors, Valkyries, Jokaero air dropping with heavy flamers.  Now if I can only get Flight of the Valkyries to play with the wicked witch of the west broomstick theme...

too... damn... expensive... in both points and money--though I have some of the OLD obliterators that I've been considering using as Jokaero stand-ins... some kind of mechanicus soldier or something... still, they're too fragile and too costly to be grav-chuting out of a Valkyrie.

Also:

I think 6 valkyries is enough... remember you still have to have something on the table by the end of the first turn otherwise its an insta-loss.

I'm interested to see if anyone makes an Air Cav list out of Inquisition

Your wish!

All you need to do now is choose your Ally, to provide the ZOMG must live First turn support.  You have 277 points left for this.

I'd have an Inquisitor with Psychic Communion, to stack that with the Comms Relay to get your Valks in.

You can only Reserve half your units though sad.png so those poor Acolytes are gonna have to be on the ground to some extent.

RD. ;)

Units embarked in transports that have to start in reserves aren't counted (nor are any attached ICs).

It's why all Drop Pod armies still exist!

I'm probably going to feel stupid asking this but what update? This is my first e-codex. Is there a feature I'm unaware of?

If you have the iPad version it should* update automatically. If you bought your copy from the Black Library you have to go to your downloads and re-download it. It won't say a version number but whenever you re-download it it is always to most up to date 'dex. The Digital Editions page on FB is usually a good place to check for news, that's how I found out there was an update and only on accident.

*Note: It doesn't always do this and has been buggy. Good luck :(

I'm pretty pumped to buy my first LRR and let the assassins flow.

Hmmm, if that's all you want then;

So you need to chop down a little, plus figure somewhere to put Coteaz.  I'd also purchase PML1 for the OX Inquisitors (who all join a Squad in a LRR), and leave one of your HQs with Psychic Communion.

So maybe drop one henchmen squad down to 10, and stick both Coteaz and the PC Inquisitor in it.

You don't need to call that a detachment, Gentlemanloser.  That's simply a double force org at 2000 points army straight from Codex: =][= :)  You could also just convert Coteaz to a standard Inquisitor and not mess with the warband configuration.  Lots of ways to tinker it though.

I wasn't thinking of Dual FoC, as no one I know plays it.  But you're right, it's better as a Dual FoC;

Now all you need to decide is how many Divination/PC Inquisitors do you need, and how many Servo Skulls do you want.  And shift things accordingly.

Im thinking about my unit as 7 warrior acolytes with bolters, 3 plasma servitors and 2 jokaero loaded up in a valkyrie with heavy bolter sponsoons.....what do you think?

I would say it sounds better for a psymera bunker, unless dropping them in syngergizes with your army/plan.

Got it!  The 9 Razorback / 13 Chimera list lives! :D

It requires 2k and Dual FoC though.  Sure, AV13/14 is going to be a pain, but little else will be.  And imagine the look of sheer terror when your opponent watches you unpack 22 Rhino/Chimera chassis.

:D
