Agreed, looks much better. Are you going to paint the side of the base? It'd help provide a bit more colour and round off the paint job.

I dunno, I kinda liked what was produced before the committee got invoked. The highlighting was subtle enought to stand up to macro-photography. The third iteration improves upon the second, but I still feel like I'm going to get cut on the sharpness of contrasts to some of the highlights. It probably looks much better in person, most figures do and remains a cut above a substancial majority of my collection.
