A friend of Mine and I did a 4000 point battle during the last week.

Pre-game stuff

 

The Mission is Purge the alien  Neither of us expected this so we each have 28 kill points.

 

Deployment is Hammer and Anvil  Once again unexpected.

 

All Librarians roll on telepathy and take psychic shriek.

 

The black cohort wins the roll off for deployment and turn.  And chooses to go first.

 

Their forces deploy mostly at the front of their deployment zone.

 

 

The cowardly Unforgiven deploy well back in their deployment zone, with their right flank much stronger than the left, intending to break through on the table edge and sweep across the Black Cohort lines.  The Ravenwing scout forward a few inches

 

 

The Unforgiven attempt to seize the initiative and fail.

 

No Night Fighting turn 1.

 

Turn 1: The Unforgiven Menace.

 

The black Cohort advance and open fire.

 

Their Typhon fires frag at the guardsman bubblewrapping the Leman Russes.  The Godhammer opens up on the Darkshroud attempting to take it out before it moves.  It gets 2 pens with its twin-linked lascannons, one is shrouded away while the other stuns the darkshroud.  The plasma bikers kill 2 of the ravenwing.  The second bike squad shoots, gets 5 wounds on the ravenwing, who save all 5.  Scouts strip a wound off one of the attack bikes.

 

No assaults.

 

The Unforgiven turn 1

 

 

The ravenwing surges forward.  One of the attack bikes tries to drive over some wreckage to get a shot at the Godhammer and fails his dangerous terrain test.

 

Battlecannons pound the cohort bikes killing 6 between 2 squads.

 

The ravenwing use the banner of devastation and pour fire into the surviving bikes wounding the cohort bike Captain and killing 3 more bikers.  The land speeders attempt to strip hull points off the Land raiders and fail, as does the predator.  Then with encouragement from their officers, the guardsmen pour fire into the scouts killing 4.

 

No Assaults.
