Vulshra Posted December 12, 2013 Share Posted December 12, 2013 I'm trying to build a space marine list focusing on heavy weapons fire, so plasmas, meltas, and lascannons, but I keep running into the problem of HQ. I always have a hard time with HQs in my lists, as nothing seems to quite fit. I'd prefer not to use a bike captain or chapter master, as I want to keep my list infantry and mech based, but if thats the only effective way to go, I may have to cave. Or a captain accompanying a command squad in drop pod with melta guns, a bold captain leading by example. A MotF could work fluff wise if you treat him as a captain that excels in siege warfare, give him a conversion Beamer and stick him out of the way somewhere. Librarian with telepathy if you want a midfield support powerhouse Chapter Master or Captain with artificer armor, bolt pistol, and burning blade if you want a melee powerhouse. If you tell us what the rest of your list looks like we might be able to provide more fine tuned advice but those are my recommendations based on what you have stated.
