SnorriSnorrison
'We found a witch!! May be burn her?' And hello, fellow painters from all around the world. I think this is my first topic in the hallowed halls (of honour), and to my mild surprise, it's not a Blood Angel. It's a test model for something I've been thinking about a very long time now, and I'd be very glad with some input from all of you. Colours, scheme, the claws(that effect or a different one), please, anything you'd notice. It's a test model for a reason. :) But, enough with this gay banter - on to pictures! http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/ad309/Snorrinorrison/IMAG0398_zps4ee61d5a.jpg http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/ad309/Snorrinorrison/IMAG0397_zps66e5abc9.jpg http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/ad309/Snorrinorrison/IMAG0396_zps157e7f6a.jpg http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/ad309/Snorrinorrison/IMAG0395_zps023aacd2.jpg Please excuse the glossy spots on some parts of the miniature - all thanks to the "new" GW washes.... Enjoy! Snorri
GrandMagnus
Loos good. You can eliminate the gloss effect by shaking well the bottles with wash OR mixing the wash with a bit of water.

Marshal Reinhard
Scheme looks pretty to be pretty much by the book. Paint job is excellent, think you nailed every tone very well, from the belt, to the reds to gold. In fact I'm curious to what you used for the gold. The only thing I think is slightly odd if you can call it that, is that I think he has cape on "backwards", ie I would expect to see the red on the outside, the back, and creamy bone/white color on the inside. But this certainly works too.
Honda
Very nice Brother and welcome to the Eternal Crusade! Should you feel so inclined, the Black Templar forum is ready and waiting. Imperator Vult!
SnorriSnorrison
Hi there brothers, sorry for the late reply, I'm using my phone and I don't like using my phone for browsing the forums ;) First of all, thanks Reinhard and Honda! @ Reinhard: Yeh the scheme probably is pretty much vs the book you're right, but then this is only a test model ;) I was considering painting his shoulder pads white, but it might turn out too bright in the end with the mantle. And black is much more menacing :) About the mantle itself, I can see where you're coming from but I quite like it that way. Watched some movies involving Templars and the white' of the mantle was looking too authentic to let this opportunity pass. I believe I'll paint the mantle of the Marshal in reversed colours :) Honda, thanks for the invite, I'll definitely be over sooner or later! Just give me some time to gather bits and some background for the crusade, so I can make an appearance worthy of the subforum! Again, thanks for the input you guys.
