Exterminate! Or special weapons dar, er, Obliterators

I'm not keen on the Obliterator models, and part of me thought it could be an idea to try and make some models based upon the Special weapons Dalek, with different firing modes representing the various weapons. Only problem I have no idea what to base them on, and what ways to alter some elements to make them more 40k, fluffwise being mini daemon engines.

You mean you don't like the squatting, piss poor, failcast, badly sculpted Oblits? Your not on your own there. Centurians seem good size wise but will take a bit of work.

I misread the above suggestion as "chaos centaur"... and I like that might have potential, too. :)

I think there are lots of options. Chaosified good-guys, Dark Mech/Daemon Engines/Warp Spawned monsters.

 

My Oblits (In my 1KSons army) are based on chaos sorcerers.
