Alternatively, if you want to make thicker candle wicks- florist wire would be a decent substitute, especially if you intended to sculpt flames onto the wick. Wanted to make a patch of candles on the vehicle like on your land raider when I found out that it was virtually impossible to do so without buying a grand load of said kit, scour ebay for them or just give up.
