Iron Hands Legion Tactical Marines

Dobermann

Recommended Posts

I always thought that a First Founding Chpater should have veteran power armours.

Then the great FW Horus Heresy books came out and I started tooling with the idea of making a 30K army.

Then the horrible GW Codex and Raukaan supplement background came out and I was even more convinced that 30K is the right way to go.

By now I am building a 30K - 40K compatible army. In the future I will add a bit of unic units.

Here you may see my Tactical Marines.

There was a lot of conversion work behind. There are components form several kits of GW, ForgeWorld and third party companies.

Excellent conversion work. I was thinking of mixing-n-matching some FW bitz to make some Honor Guard...an I dea not too dissimilar to what you have come up with.

As always, I look forward to seeing more.

Whilst I will always love Mark VI (with Mark IV a close second), the mix of other Marks just adds to the overall feel of the squad happy.png In fact, the more I see Mark III, the more they grow on me (plus, I see Mark III as being very fitting for the Xth for some reason) happy.png The paint job is excellent and the eye lens really stand out against the black smile.png

Great looking Iron Hands you've got there Dobermann! I like your use of GW plastic and FW parts, and the chain loincloths look good too.

I hope you don't mind, but I've shared your pics on my Anvilarium Iron Hands Facebook Page.
