Hey guys..

Would appreciate some feedback on this model..having failed abysmally on capt sempers loyalty and treachery thanks to work commitments it has given me more time to be confused with which legion to go with..

Originally I have started a Deathguard army but got tempted with the Iron hands and now the Imperial fists. .and with the next book coming soon im sure there will be lots of new shiny imp fist stuff to tempt me further..

The idea behind the mini is he is in the thick of the fighting, hence I doubt bright yellow armour is gonna stay bright for long haha

Anyhoo, onto the pics and let me know what u think

Thanks for looking

I really like that. I was expecting awesome or terrible (usually not much in between with the Fists in my experience).

The weathering is intense, but tasteful; it communicates that he's been through a lot but doesn't obscure the shape or colour beneath too much.

You've done a nice job with the transfers; no easy feat with big round ones!

I'm less keen on the backpack. From the front it looks great, with the black top. From the back it feels like too much steel, like the centre section at the bottom should also be black or yellow. it feels stuck on, not part of his armour.

All in all, excellent job.

Hey again..

Thanks for taking the time to look and respond guys and thanks for the nice comments...

It was really interesting having a go at yellow as for years its been a colour that has always seemed really hard to achieve a decent look..

The only part of this that really troubled me was having the patience to get that imp fist decal to soften round the shoulder pad..haha lots of micro sol and waiting..although pleased with the outcome. .

Thanks again for the comments guys and hope to cracking on these asap..untill forgeworld release more awesomeness for other legions haha

Beautiful work, great composition.  Although I do agree a bit on the pack, maybe a splash of something to break that all black/metal edging?  But it is not something that I think totally detracts, but it would bind the accessory to the marine.

first the good news that guy is shweeet sugarthumbsup.gif

i magnified the pic and even close up it looks great, the battledamage is pretty awesome

now the bad news i doubt you will get past a squad of them .prove me wrong bro please and get an army together again yes.gif

Looks awesome! Something to help with the imperial fist decal is Microscol and the other products for it. It slightly dissolves the decal to make it fit the round of the shoulder pad. Other than that your yellow is awesome and the weathering is not over the top. Can't wait to see more!

Thanks again for the comments and tips guys..all very appreciated

Nearly got the first 10 breacher marines made..maybe I might start a lil plog with these guys

Although...just got a world eaters transfer sheet cheap off ebay so might have to try a tester of them haha

@ demonclaw..hey..I got 2 squads and a hq done last year! Thats more than I have managed in 6 years haha..might just have to prove you wrong now and kick your chaos butt with the boys in yellow:-D

Thanks again guys

I like the red/brown used to shade and dirty up the yellow, good choice there.

The decals are nicely applied, very neat.

I think the helmet grills could be more distinct.  Maybe darken the slits and then line highlight the lower edge of the slits with a silver.

The black on the gun looks a little flat.  Maybe line highlight the top edge with a light grey.

Thanks again guys for the comments. . Very helpful feedback!

Just waiting on a powerfist to be delivered now so I can finjsh the build of the first 10 marines

But in the meantime. .

There might be something else taking my attention away,

Thanks to the nice guys at forgeworld I ended up with 12 termies instead of 10..so decided to try the worldeaters colours on one of them,

This guy is quite w.i.p at the mo..right arm and bolter, and the back of him still needs painting, but you can get the feel from what I have done so far,

Feedback appreciated once again
