TDF
Fixed the link. Not sure why it didn't work. It looks like industrial stripes on his gauntlet. No, he's an Iron Hand. http://www.blacklibrary.com/Images/BL/blog/2014/Feb/tactical-withdrawal.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286765-damnation-of-pythos/#findComment-3592746 Share on other sites
Noctus Cornix
It's an Iron Hand, along with the one who's standing and shooting. It's about the shattered Legions after Istvaan. Kol Saresk
Nice cover art. Is David Annadale a good writer? Not a clue. Also, see that Raven Guard's helmet? Know what that means? More variant armor patterns! Yay! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286765-damnation-of-pythos/#findComment-3592748 Share on other sites

SteelPaladin
So excited for this! I have really enjoyed David Annandale's work so far. His short audio, Veritas Ferrum is my favorite BL audio by a wide margin. Blindhamster
Annadale is a superb author, ive loved everything hes put out so far, honestly id been hoping for a blood angel book by him, hes done two first person stories about mephiston that were really awesome. Artwork is pretty snazzy, certainly looking forward to it! Red Angel
Nice cover art. Is David Annadale a good writer? Depends. Mephiston: Lord of Death and short story Eclipse of Hope were pretty good. Also Stormseer and Shadow Captain weren't bad yet lacking in some aspect. That being said he is leauges away from Swallow or McNeill so I think his new book could be interesting. Uprising
I hate to say this, but I have to have this! Those marines are fighting DINOSAURS, instant win. evilmittens
He also wrote " Yarrick: Chains of Golgotha" which was a novella. I enjoyed that book, so I think he will be ok. I am more troubled by the face we are not moving past Istvaan very fast. I know, I know there are a lot of stories there, but Unremembered Empire seemed to state that we were on to a new phase of the books...and boom, back to Istvaan V Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286765-damnation-of-pythos/#findComment-3592799 Share on other sites
Cerbero666
As long as I like reading about the Heresy and the Shattered Legions I can't help thinking that this series it's being extended too long for the only purpouse of the $$$ instead of the purpouse of telling a story. I know that they can't kill the golden eggs goose yet because it gives them profit but...how long until we actually see the Heresy end? How many stories they could possible make up to extend the series? And how many of them could be actually revealing and good written? I don't know you guys, but I don't really want this series to fall into total mediocrity just for the sake of the money. This book will feature the Shattered Legions, it will not be about the dropsite massacre. The Shattered Legions are very much a new phase of the Heresy. We know virtually nothing about what the crippled legions did, other than the Raven Guard of course. Conn Eremon
It might be like that battle fought in Promethean Sun. Dinosaurs and maybe an Eldar on the cover suggest such. Pythons sounded familiar, so I looked it up. There is a Deathworld of the same name in Pandorax. Hannibal Adats
Ok so in the Pandorax novel/warzone pythos (which is home to giant lizardy things) is the main setting for the conflict and is home to the damnation cash ... And this book is called the damnation of pythos. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say there is a link here :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/286765-damnation-of-pythos/#findComment-3592840 Share on other sites
