Knights of the Great Crusade / Horus Heresy

House Ursus has served the imperium with both loyalty and distinction, fighting alongside the Salamanders and Thousand sons legion against the Ork hoards that threatened to overwhelm their planet, and against the Xantion Confederacy that sought to subsume it.

Now however, this house is torn asunder, the househead slain upon the black sands of Isstvan with two other knights. His son presumed lost alongside the Thousand sons upon Prospero with his son.

His sister now rallies the remaining knights of house Ursus, seeking to fight for Terra, and to wash the stench of her brothers treachery away.
Of course, not sure I will actually get one now as Chaos cannot take them.
Colors: blue-turquoise grey with gold trim, Heraldry: Black bear upon an orange field.

Mine will be from a freeblade house in hiding with my Renegades just beyond the Halo Stars. Colours will be Black,Bone, Red. Symbol will be  a Scythe and symbols of Death. I like the chainsaw .

Does anyone have a paint formula to represent oil or hydralic fluid?

@ deathspectersgt7 - here is a pretty good one http://www.ipmslivonia.org/ipms/Gallery/Necron/KitRNecron.htm

I'm sure that there were some knight houses on Olympia, who broke all oaths to their people and helped the Iron Warriors massacre the population - and thereby condemning themselves to the traitors.

House Constantine.

As for the colour scheme, well barebones metal and hazard stripes?...

Family sigil - a golden eagle on a red background?..

Much imagination.

As the first line of your post says, heathens, I'm on the verge of crumbling down and ordering one even though I've sworn off allies. What I'm torn about is the fact that Knight titans seem to function completely different than the legio titanicus of Mars. I'd be okay allying with the Mechanicum; there a lot of fluff opportunities with the Mechanicum operating with an understrength legion like the Raven Guard, and FW has done and will be doing a ton of cool models. I could have a Martian-aligned House, but I'm not sure I want to bring in another layer of allies allying with my allies. Part of me says funnel the money into a warhound and get a true titan. The other part of me says keep on saving for that juicy thunderhawk. My awesome first world problems, hey?

I wouldn't say that I'm speaking for everyone here, but since most 30K players seem to be fluff-oriented, I'm sure most of us wouldn't mind it if you just threw the knight into the appropriate FoC slot in your Mechanicum allies.

Agreed. I'd play against ya, KBA.

Yup, but then i am getting increasingly disillusioned with FOC's and such tbh...

Me and my gaming buddies decided to get together and design a Knight household we can all field alongside various armies but chiefly in the heresy alongside our Iron Warriors.

House Gevauden, brought to compliance by the IV Legion they served extensively alongside them for the Great Crusade before splitting on the eve of the Heresy, most of the Veterans and Crusaders siding with Perturabo while the younger knights assigned elsewhere sided with the Imperium. A bitter internecine war followed which caused great damage to their Homeworld but the Loyalists were triumphant.  The Renegades fought throughout the Heresy, eventually meeting their fates at Terra, or so it seemed... The Nascent Inquisition then bound the suspect House Gevauden with unknown terrible oaths and they have since striven to prove their fidelity across countless blood soaked actions on their behalf.

(Is a summary anyhow, ill post the lot in my WiP thread when its relevant ;) )

I'm waiting to see what the codex/ forge world will do with the two models.

I'm hoping that other classes of knight will be available (GW wouldn't sell a codex containing two models would they).

If there are more options then I will get a few for my emperors children.

Hi to all

Question about the colour of House Taranis from the picks I have seen on the tinerweb it is Red/Black/White but on the second page of Mechanicum (14 really) it describes Verticorda's ( of House Taranis ) Paladin Class Knight as being a Deep Blue colour ?, is this the wonderful GW not sticking to lore or is there another answer that I have not came across yet (maybe in the knight companion book) as to why the change in colour.

Please anyone know as I like to adhear to fluff plus the blue would offset nicely against my mainly red Mechanicum army.

Cheers
