Calling it now. Alphas are revealed to have a third Primarch. :P

Nobody expects the Hydra! Our two most dangerous primarchs are...cough...our THREE most dangerous primarchs are...

So, I am Alpharius..or some greekletterius between that and Omegon...

Damn, I need this frigging book

In one of the books ala black library, I am sure the cabal says there is another. Maybe Forgeworld are completing this, maybe next alpha legion BL book will, maybe its just a ruse like the cover of the sigilite audio drama

Regarding how many AL Primarcs there are, is anyone really willing to put money down on Abnett being wrong?

I'm thinking that's not going to happen.

abnett is not infallible. Ref: ultramarine. One day I will let it go, coz I like most of his 2000ad stuff, and most if his heresy stuff, but that wound will take a while to heal :p

I do hope when they are sculpted the alpha primarchs come as one release as opposed to Individually, however many there are

Anyone know about how long it was before book 2 was up for preorder after the reveal video?

A bit odd they chose to show an alternate scheme for the VII, considering the other three Legions have normal ones. Dorn looks exactly as he should. I can't wait to have him in my hands. :D

A month or so.

I expect to be able to buy the book at open day, and it going up for order the week after.

Alpharius/Omegon, that cold, far looking gaze which hides everything and nothing is simply awesome, great portrait, great characterization in those eyes alone. As for the skulls, Alpharius, Omegon and... ofc. the legion itself. There is no need for a third primarch when we already have thousands upon thousands of Alphariuses.

Now I only demand rules, I want to see the backbone and the background of the Alpha Legion. Until the Thousand Sons catch the eye of Forge World I know where my allegiance lays. For when we speak of subterfuge, deceit and cold, ruthless application of tactics, strategy and deception... we speak of the XX Astartes Legion.

Reading into the Sigma, it is used as a summation of terms that have been expressed previously. I don't think it relates to a third primarch, rather that it has more to do with their status as the last legion. The XXth mindset of being the perfected finalised form of the legions.

Maybe the twins were Omega Alpha Sigs in Primarch college?

Might be why they are so hot under the collar to prove themselves. Gotta show the older brothers what a difference it makes having an edumacation.

And why they hate Guilliman so much. Puffing chests over all of them there fancy shmancy college degrees doesn't have quite the same impact when you got an older brother who got all of them first, kept a 4.0 average and graduated as the valedictorian.

Wow. I might not be able to keep myself away from 30k for much longer.

Regarding the tattoo(spoiler for Tallarn: Executioner)

The AL operative is covered in tattoos depicting serpents, and they are moving across his skin seemingly at will. I bet this Alpharius is wearing a tattoo of the same kind.

For all you Imperial Fist fans who like the 30k variant scheme: Catch!

Now, lets get that yellow off and cover him in Iron Hands symbols :P

I don't think that's a variant scheme, but a Pre-Primarch scheme. On one shoulder is an eagle and lightning bolts, a symbol of the Unification. On the other, "VII". And IIRC, the War Hounds' scheme was reversed. It seems like the "old schemes" and the "new schemes" are closely related, the way some of the "Pre-Primarch" and "Post-Primarchs" personalities of some Legions seem to have very minimal differences.
