There's too many goodies in this book. I've gone back and forth from choosing to start another legion to not, and each time it's a different legion contemplated! This is nuts! I'm going to lose my mind when the other books hit. I've already sold all of my organs for resin army men and now it's time to kidnap the loved one of someone rich.

Stay XIX Legion, KBA. They suit you, and you do them justice.

Exactly.
KBA I've jumped around a few legions but I always end up back with the Alphas, and I know if I ever went for a loyalist faction it would be the RG, no matter how cool the others look. Sometimes a Legion speaks to you with more then just rules, and without wanting to say 'you are the legion you play' I do think we make choices based off traits we like. Stick with the RG, you do them so much justice.

Terror Squad minis were there, sadly they were snuck in the back of 1 of the cases behind the Night Raptors Ashen Circle and a display of Fulgrim and Ferrus Manus.

Had a good chat with Steve Whitehead about how he designed them and said that they were looking to do signature weapon sets at some points if they received enougb positive feedback regarding them, so could be seeing the Emperor's children weaponry, chainglaives, power scythes etc.

Also saw the concept art for the Gal Vorbak and they look amazing.

Longest talk I had was with Simon Egan regarding the Primarchs and despite the best efforts of us he couldn't tell us who is next on the block. But that it will definitely be revealed at the Weekender. He went really in depth about how they approach each Primarch and also mentioned that they're looking at a potential 3 models for Hours (His GC/early Heresy, mid Heresy, and Siege of Terra) along with some of the others who experience a similar metamorphosis.

The hardest one he sees doing is the Konrad Curze, mainly because of the difficulty in capturing both his psychopathy and sociopathy in the same model. But it's one he wants to do. Along with Sevatar and Sigismund but as things stand he's working exclusively on Primarchs. He did say that working on Horus and having to go through the process of him has stood him in great stead for the next one he's working on though...

And finally he said that he would go :cuss mad if he didn't get to do the dual-rama with Leman Russ and Magnus and shared a few of his ideas about how he'd do it which were quite frankly mind melting. Oh and Sanguinius, the Lion and the Khan were also on his wishlist :)

The 'Eaters weren't exactly big on artificers. I fear the same will happen to the Raven Guard, since their Armours are made for stealth and they're not really that totemic, in terms of aesthetics - kind of like 40K salamanders that end up being wearing the same eagles, skulls and laurels as everyone else.

Still, FW has managed to bring up the 'savage' side of the Salamanders, in terms of armour design and decoration. Let's hope they do the same for the Raven Guard, although the Ravens, to my knowledge, have more down-to-earth and social uprising-based origins.

Aye, similar to the FW Raven Guard kits. But there are some hints to Corax's 'Native-American'-like appearance and practices. 1000 Heathens and I have talked about Skinwalkers (animal-embodying shamans-warriors) for the Raven Guard. While they're a bit of an extreme case, I hope FW has rooted the Legion's symbol in some dark customs. We know one of the Ravens' 40K rites is the hunt of a giant raven in the peaks around their Homeworld.

I dunno, that Blood-Crow Moritat guy would seem to fit in nicely with heathens' vision.

Definitely, Kol. When I talk of 'dark' customs, I mean not only in the superstitious sense, but also kept under wraps, some kind of old heritage that Corax has clung to.

Still, it's pretty much pointless to talk about fluff and new units right now, I figure. It's already printed =D Let's hope them spoilers bring good news, I like my Space Marines to be ritualistic.

The pre-Corax XIX fluff does not disappoint on that front. If anything, according to the fluff in book 3, the finding of Corax made the legion humanistic ten-fold.

Those IF bitz...

Yeah buddy.

They will be getting a lot of love it seems. Plus that not-mkVIII-chest piece looks awesome. Good praetor conversion

Hng. Great bitz, I must say. Shame they aren't mk4 though...

Hmmm wonder why it's mkII "CRUSADE" pattern....

:P

So what were they before they found him? Throat-slitters?

Terrans gathered from the Asiatic tribes of the Xeric, used to constant war and bloodshed. Horus and his XVI essentially use them as a blade to do their dirty work as they could easily flip from "cold, impassive scrutiny to swift brutal action". They would paint their faces with the Asiatic dust before battle, and became known as the Dust-Clad, the Pale Nomads to the Luna Wolves. I'm knee deep in writing some cool fluff for a legionary that survived these times :)

Now having taken a good look at them, I reckon slapping them on my command squad would be fine. I can just about get away with them in my mk4 based army. :)

Please, please provide all that you know. The pics were unfortunately too blurry for my eyes to process.

@Olisreden

That my friend, is artistic license :) Feel free to mix an match

Anyone else think that they will take one of the WE bunny ear heads and put it on the Khârn model? Just to make it like the old school Khârn picture?

Could you give some hints as to Corax's personality and how he was viewed by the other Primarchs, mate?

Can I assume he didn't like his Legion's MO much when he first met them?
