Could I also get the fluff for Raven Guard please? smile.png

Is it only Raven Guard stuff we have atm or is there fist stuff to?

Gah when is this book out to general release?

Also I thought Corax hated Horus, I thought he withdrew his forces from Horus's command after a big argument?

Initially Corax didn't want the wasteful frontal assault Horus had chosen the XIX for the role of, but Perturabo accused him of cowardice. They almost fight, but Russ tells Corax he should extinguish his fire of anger in battle, so he takes those who are down with the Horus' plan of attack in his legion (mostly those from Terra in his legion) and leads the assault himself. He inspires the troops to victory, but the losses are huge. Corax' detractors say he did his legion a favor as a lot of those Terran brothers were lodge members and he saved his legion from the coming insurrection, but the fluff reads that Corax mourns these fallen sons, and was almost forced to send them in.

Horus planned an assault that would use the Raven Guard to pin the enemy down or something. Corax thought it was pointless, but ultimately acquiesced. He assigned the Terrans who looked up to Horus in the Vanguard, and after the took horrendous casualties but the Sons of Horus swooped in and won the battle, Corax withdrew from Horus' command and never went back.

I don't know if saved them is quite the right way to put it :D Isstvan V and all ....

Ah I get you. Weird how they'd even be in a position to use the Raven Guard as an anvil, I mean Salamanders, Death Guard, Fists, Iron Warriors yes, but Raven Guard? I agree with Corax it was a stupid idea.

Before the Crusade found Corax, Horus basically used the XIX as one of his own chapters. They were the hands Horus used when he needed to get dirty. Corax actually fittingly sets his Terran legion free when he takes over.

Corax delivered his Legion from the abusive command of another Primarch?

. . . I freaking love the Raven Guard.

The fluff on the Deliverers, the tiny bit I could read, sounds interesting. Are they the Raven Guard Destroyers?

They seem to be Cataphractii Termies that Horus has under his thumb -- he gives them the name. They actually serve as a body guard to the warmaster in a battle. Corax assigns most of them to distant crusade fleets when takes over but keeps a few around to 'personify his anger' when he needs to throw down lol

Oh yeah, 10 Templars, Combat Shields, and Champion with Solarite Gauntlet.

Eat it Reavers.

Here's to hoping the gauntlet looks like a Fallout New Vegas powerfist with lots of tubes sticking out and such. Kinda like the mkIV command sword attachment that goes on the forearm.

Man is that a cool word to roll off the tongue...

Solarite Gauntlet

Mmmh

Ah, okay. That last bit about Corax was about all I could read.

It is actually really interesting to see a Primarch utilize another Legion so thoroughly. Even to the point of being his bodyguards!

Sek-Amrak seems like the title of a warlord, and the original founding place of the Iron Warriors was the Auro plateau after destroying the fortress of the Sek-Amrak. Sek is a province in Iran, Amrak is a khan like title, and Auro might be the Aurora plateau which is in the Philippines.

And also, I agree KBA, I doubt race as we know it would matter in 30K but when I saw that I just had the mental image of a blend of Mad Max raiders wearing the rhinestone vests :D
