Marshal Hadrarius
Thanks to brother Tyler im now able to post pictures which im going to do if only to encourage myself! So may i introduce Captain of the 8th Company Tibor Reitz, Lord Executioner and Saviour of Xianthe This is going to be the first completed model i have painted in years and i hope to complete a full codex compliant mixed force soon but all support companies. Just completed a yellow colour test, let me know what you think.. I swear the yellow is a bit smoother should be an ok gaming standard i hope? Cain21
Kinda hard to tell pic is s little small for me but a wash would add alot of character from whem I can see, and if you already did one just a little more imho. Other than that I like it alot. Also glad to see someone else not making a 3rd or 5th co. Dosjetka
Pretty good yellow you've got there :) There are a couple of details you missed on the helmet (the tubes on the front/side, the grille on the front, the purity seal on his shoulder pad), but it's no biggie. Thanks man, the pic does fade out some of the wash but you are not the first to tell me that so i might make it a stronger one. My force is going to be made of units from the reserve companies so keep an eye out for grey, purple and blue shoulder along with white and none ;) Pretty good yellow you've got there There are a couple of details you missed on the helmet (the tubes on the front/side, the grille on the front, the purity seal on his shoulder pad), but it's no biggie. Hah cheers BBL those were missed intentionally only testing the yellow really my eye sight isn't bad enough to miss those just yet! Marshal Hadrarius
what would you do with the grills tubes on his head, i was planning on keeping them yellow? Flawless
Looks a really nice yellow that has plenty of depth to it. The grill I would paint a dark gunmetal and the tubes maybe a green or blue to provide some focus to the helm? Unsure if that would distract too much? Marshal Hadrarius
thanks dude, if i decide to paint the grill and tubes will prob stick with a silver of some kind. Not 100% on it yet. Cain21
For the grille and tubes I personally use the old boltgun metal, cant remember what the new name for it is tho. malorn24
as a guy that has just embarked on the YELLOW CURSADE it is a very unforgiving color. I am still play around with the a squad to find the right color. I am one that likes the dark washes over the sepia one but then the back is hard to cover up so I am getting settled in on a nulin light wash and then a sepia over that. I would have to say that it is looking good and the color is very bright but very smooth I am jealous. Cain21
When it comes to yellow I find it hard to use the darks like nuln, and as for the sephia its to light for me as well thats why I stick with agrax. Marshal Hadrarius
Thanks guys for advice and compliments and Malorn nothing to be jealous about! up close it doesn't look nearly so smooth, but for a table top standard more than acceptable. Gonna try and get some painting done today so hopefully hope to see Captain Reitz in yellow shortly!
