Thanks for all the positive comments brothers.

Spent a couple of more hours on some rust effects and battle damage plus made a start on the checkered plate floor up on the gun deck.

I think ill start work on the rear of the beast next, such great detail within the arch.

Ok enough of me waffling on....here are some pics

This looks awesome. I would love to have one as a centerpiece.

Where are the rules for it found?

Thanks mate. I'm not a player so i'm not 100% sure but id say try the imperial armour books.

I think my superheavy addiction has begun :)

Thanks for clarifying that coffeegrunt.

Nico, for the rust i mixed secret weapons red brick pigment powder with a small amount of agrax earth shade to make a paste. I applied it with a sponge. For the rust streaks i just added more agrax and used a fine detail brush.

Very cool, what did you use for the mud?

i think you should try to darken the mud if taken in this amount, or have less lighter (dried) mud, like explained in the book you linked earlier ;)

Yea I took that shot when the mud was still wet, Ive made it darker like the rest of the dkok infantry bases.

I know it looks almost orange from the photo but click the link above and see what it actually looks like out of the jar :)

I love the weathering but the mud is a little too much for me. Fits well with DK though ;)

Funnily enough for years all my tanks had to have that straight out of the factory look but I seem to have done a complete 360!

I've been admiring the aces high bird of yours...uber sexy!

I think we all go through phases with weathering.

When I first started I was scared to weather models and tended to go for factory finish, then I did some paint chipping and soot but now I am going with the sandy dust look and the oil stains too. Who knows where it will end :)

Looks like those 1450kms were driven by the Stormlord ;) Fantastic work, the weathering and rust is really rather good and the mud makes it look like it has been churning through the battlefield to deliver the troops where they're needed most! Our first and only super heavy too - well done indeed, a very well earned completion :D

Makes me want to get my Shadowsword kit out but I'm being good and saving that for ETL IV ;)
