Spent a couple of more hours on some rust effects and battle damage plus made a start on the checkered plate floor up on the gun deck. I think ill start work on the rear of the beast next,such great detail within the arch. Nico,for the rust i mixed secret weapons red brick pigment powder with a small amount of agrax earth shade to make a paste. I applied it with a sponge. I know it looks almost orange from the photo but click the link above and see what it actually looks like out of the jar :) I love the weathering but the mud is a little too much for me. Fits well with DK though ;)Funnily enough for years all my tanks had to have that straight out of the factory look but I seem to have done a complete 360! When I first started I was scared to weather models and tended to go for factory finish, then I did some paint chipping and soot but now I am going with the sandy dust look and the oil stains too. WarriorFish Posted September 26, 2014 Share Posted September 26, 2014 Looks like those 1450kms were driven by the Stormlord ;) Fantastic work, the weathering and rust is really rather good and the mud makes it look like it has been churning through the battlefield to deliver the troops where they're needed most!
