Nrthstar
Well, I just picked up the finecast arjac fig, guess I can wait to paint it. And I also just dumped a land raider, and 8 terminators into green stuff, I will be putting all 4500 points of my stuff into the bucket o' green. My Necrons outshine my wolves, and i did a little test figure the other day, it CRUSHES my old paint ability. It pains me to look at my first few painted wolves now. I'm in. Arez
Every Grey Hunter is actually a Wolf Guard Battle Leader!! 700 point pack!! BOOM!! jkjk I've got lots of Fen wolves and TWC to paint up and 3 HQ's so this should be interesting indeed!! End of Line Now play in the spirit of the rules guys. Well it works for lost companies since they would be to well trained after centuries of battle that they(GH) would be of equivalent of a WG or WGBL :P gotcha Semper We really do indeed have a pack mentality here, don't we??!! That's pretty cool!! And kind of weird at the same time...End of Line Well we have the runt of the litter sorted already. Greenhorn Hey you litte *throws forte into the nearest wall* Im no ru.....never mind not arguing with you anymore We really do indeed have a pack mentality here, don't we??!! That's pretty cool!! And kind of weird at the same time...End of Line Well we have the runt of the litter sorted already. Forté
"Mjod for the Mjod God...hang on. That's not right". "Sure you threw me harder than you used to". *grabs Arez by the arm and whirls him round like a hammer before launching him towards a pack of fresh faced Blood Claws nursing training wounds in the corner. The impact splintering their table and sending claws, drinks, and meat sprawling* "That's more like it." Leif Bearclaw
Ask a stupid question, but as this is a points competition, how would you differentiate between Power weapons and Frost weapons? I'll be aiming to finally paint my Terminators, a couple of which in game have frost blades, but the models themselves have the normal swords out of the Pack/Terminator boxes. Rift Blade
1st of May? Good. Maybe the flooding will be over for the most part by then. I may be able to get in on this after all. Still got a bunch of models to paint. You don't realize that you might be a borderline pack rat till you have to move all your stuff to one floor! LOL!!!! Well, I was personally planning on beating my combined totals from ETL I & II with my first vow. After doing some difficult math, I came up with a total of 1610 from my first two jaunts into ETL. So let's go with that. And for S & G, might I recommend my fellow wolves to vow the following character: Cyf the Fair: Wolf Lord, Meltabombs, Frostblade, Plasma Pistol, Wolf Tooth Necklace, Saga of the warrior born- Pts 190. He should probably look something like this (the Bolt pistol is just for show): http://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Cypher-The-Fallen-Angel That should throw our dress-wearing cousins for a bit of a loop...they won't know which one to go looking for! Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
Brothers and Sisters, please heed my words. Once this competition begins, things may more quickly. Perhaps quicker than we'd expect. Maybe the foul thing referred to as "real life" will rear its head and drag away our attention, so we must make use of the time available to us... Things to consider to help our performance: -Clear a few hours a week to work on your vows. Starting preparing this time now, so our families and such will know when not to disturb us (barring emergencies of course) -stock up on the paints, brushes, and such hobby tools required. Nothing worse than running out of required tools in the middle of a project -set up a workstation if the space is available -place the to be vowed models aside, make sure the pieces to be worked are available and ready -have a general plan for your vow, and any following vows. Plan any purchases accordingly. -pick models you'll enjoy painting. anything I missed? WLK Start straight away, this happened to me where three months seemed loads of time but as WLK said real life has a way of taking a week or two off you and then your scrambling (before a family holiday) to get finished and posted. This is especially true if you plan on multiple vows as fail one fail all applies. Captain Semper
You can only vow for things that can legally be used by SWs on the tabletop. Count-as LR is your best shot...
