Traitor Guard

Oh, it's okay, sorry mate.

I literally just hacked the rebreather backpack off with a pair of clippers, shaved it flat with a knife and filed it smooth before sticking the Vox in its place. The only tricky part was ensuring the tubes coming from his oxygen mask were long enough to reach the Vox once it was stuck otherwise they would just be floating in mid air and would not look right but I clipped them were they connect to the tanks at the back first so they did not snap off in the process.

Other than that, I had to slightly adjust the position of the right arm so it was touching his head for the 'radioing in' look but otherwise not too difficult a process - my modeling skills are quite lacking anyway so I could not get much more extensive than that. Hopefully that helps smile.png

Yes indeed!.

I have used that arm for a Master of Ordinance and a Heavy Weapon Team spotter, I have made myself promise that next time I want to use it, I will trade out the shoulder part for a smooth pad, so that I can put insignia on it.

Here begins my ETLIII Vow, consisting of:

Cheers. I hope so too :)

Not sure at the moment, it depends on how quickly I get this first one done - May is exams month at uni so progress may start slowly.

If I can get done in good time though, I hope to vow an Aegis Defence Line, as well as either a Hellhound or a second Leman Russ (probably a Demolisher).

Just as a pretty cool update. I entered that Leman Russ in my local GW's Tank painting competition this morning. There were some great entries, but mine came first :D

Anyway, I was very proud of that and after some great comments and encouragement from the staff I now have the Tank bug so I hope to enter a few more in subsequent vows (especially as I painted that one in 2 days!).

Vow 1 Complete!! Still need to base but allowed to move on as I cannot until I get home from uni.

Many of you would have seen the finished Leman Russ previously so I wont post that again but here is the Priest and Bullgryns respectively:

Cheers Kiloflix. I thought so too, but my skills with green stuff are quite basic at the moment so my attempts to make them all failed before undercoating. But like you said, with practice, they can be added in time, and I do intend to come back to it once I am able to sculpt it.

Thanks WarriorFish :D It means a lot. They have been getting me through revision so far so I intend to keep painting in my breaks as it keeps progress up for both.

And I do plan to make at least one more final vow (4th) before closing.

I love the daemonic face on the front of the Leman Russ.

Traitor Guardsmen 1: "Wow, it looks so life-like, how did you..."

Traitor Guardsmen 2: "Stop! Don't get too close..."

GNASH!!!

Traitor Guardsmen 1: "AHH! MY HAND!"

Traitor Guardsmen 2: "At least the Imperium has some health and safety laws."

I think revision was devised by Tzeentch, or perhaps Slaanesh when he/she was having a really off day. Good that you can not only get a nice break from it but also get models done smile.png

Here's me still working on my first vow... I'll finish it this weekend and blast through my second vow as much as I can next week. I'm off on holiday again next week, but this is unusual - I don't normally have so much holiday (sadly) tongue.png
