Nicodemus Doloroso
As the threat title says, I'm wondering if anyone has a good recipe for that Borg-like pasty, greyish skin you see on servitors, like this: http://kofler.dot.at/40k/units/Mechanicus_Servitors.gif I've got a few servitor-type creatures to paint up but not sure which colours to use -- I prefer the new Citadel range if possible. Thanks. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289690-anyone-have-a-recipe-for-painting-servitors-skin/ Share on other sites
lord gunthar
I like using a 1:1 mix of shadow grey and graveyard earth, highlighted with 1:1 of the basecoat and kommando khaki, pure kommando khaki then bleached bone on the highest points. It creates a greyish mottled skin that I use on my death guard. It would look good on servitors too. I don't know the equivalents for the new range but shadow grey is a dark bluish grey, graveyard earth is a medium brown, kommando khaki is a light brown, and bleached bone is bone. Hope that helps. CommodusXIII
I go for a sicky/pale skin tone: Basecoat black Layer Dawnstone Layer Pallid Flesh Highlight Ushanti Bone Wash Nuln Oil (5) can be changed for the wash of your choice. I use Nuln Oil to give all of my Mechanicus models an oily, dirty look.
